Assassin's Creed Shadows

Assassin's Creed Shadows

Statistiche:
Ubisoft won….
The success of AC shadows let them negotiate a better deal with Tencent.

They put their most valuable IPs into a new company in case the current company burns down, but not only that.

With the cash injection from Tencent they bought themselves close to 2 year to get the company on the right track.

Regardless of your feelings on AC shadows, Ubisoft bet it all on this game and came out alive on the other side when they were 90-95% likely to go bankrupt.

Ubisoft right now is probably dancing to this song:
Elton John - I’m Still Standing (

The haters lost…and they tried so hard too. Turns out that manchilds (Grummz), bottle pissers (Asmongold) and clowns (Elon)…..aren’t exactly the arbiters of what will be successful or not.

I am happy Ubisoft not are dead waiting for
Splinter Cell Remake
The Division 3
And a new
Ghost Recon
wait ubisoft made splinter cell?? WOW have they fallen off their pedestal down into the pig pen

Last Splinter Cell was Blacklist which released in 2013

But lets be real...
Would a new Splinter Cell game even work today? Would they have to change the formula? Make it like Hitman?
How about the game though... you know... ... the game !?
The thing no one is actually talking about.
Personally I'll judge a game by the discourse it creates...
No-one is ravivg about the story, graphics, gameplay, etc etc...
Just raging about who wins... who is "owned".... *yawn*
If engagement in the actaul game is this low....I'll take the hint and give it a hard pass.

gameplay is good but music sucks, at least in bossfights, they hit you with electric guitars and hip hop which completely kills the atmosphere

the AC series used to have great music that compliments the setting/atmosphere but thats not the case with AC shadows
Ubisoft is now losing 25% of the profit of their most valuable IP's on top of the 30% cut the platform takes, so for the majority of the sales for assassins creed games, fry cry games and rainbow six games will be losing 55% per unit sold. They got 1.6 billion for selling that 25%, if shadows really did have a 250M budget and a 150M marketing that means they only got the price to make 4 games of AC shadows scale for a life time loss of 25% profit of their best IP's... That really does not sound like winning to me and sounds like something you would only do if you are about to go bankrupt. By the way if the budget and marketing are correct it went from 7 million to break even to 10 million to break even.

The SC formula was never the problem. Its that all the people the conceptualized, designed, and wrote SC have all left Ubisoft so they dont know how to make another one. In other words, the have no institutional knowledge left. Evan on shadows, at least half of the team have never worked on on an AC game before and they are just here to get a AAA game shipped so they can put it on their resume and bounce

The haters as you guys call them are mostly people who want games to have a high level of quality and integrity. E.g. like Larian Studios.

I call haters who desperately argue that
- the game insults japanese culture (it doesn't)
- the game failed (it is the second most successful AC game, except in benchmarks where it is the first)
- Ubisoft falsified history with the black samurai (They didn't. It's not a documentary, it's a fiction based on real events and people - just like every other AC game before.)
- Steam user reviews lie
- Official player counts lie
- Steam player counts lie
- Everybody lies who claims the game is on the right track to become profitable

For some reason they never mention Steam sales chart where the game reached second place last week. They did mention a 10 USD early access game however that sold more copies - meaning AC Shadows is a flop (according to haters).

Hey. Remember how I crushed your argument? We have fresh information.

https://youtu.be/mQmjNo6JgDw

We have at least few protesting letters from heads of at least 3 shrines (that's why Prime Minister was moved into action in the first place) and there are talks from stopping AC: Shadows from being sold in Japan, if they don't modify the game, so far all letters of protests have reached Ubisoft Japan(about 25th March), but there is still no response.

I wonder if we will actually see game being banned from being sold in Japan. People in Japan are not playing.
18% drop in stock value, Ubisoft wins again!
only 16k reviews on steam and a 40k player base 1 week after launch. Looks like Ubisoft is going to be downsizing again LUL

Holy moly I think I just found the most retarded human being on the planet
Yeah, they won. I'm so glad we will soon get Assassins Creed: Gacha and cash-grab mobile titles of the other IPs from Tencent.

Now they got bought by China so they will be making games for Chuds. You lost.
Even CohhCarnage politely called this game trash, he couldn't even get through it. It's a step down from older AC games. It really is sad to see gaming on the decline, all the old passionate developers are long gone.
