Not hating on the game. It looks good on a technical basis, can't say anything for it's gameplay since I haven't played it yet.
Yes, it's because they also have a subscription service. It's why Microsoft used 'players' when they announced '10m players' for Forza Horizon 5, and that game has now apparently sold 5-7m copies on Steam alone.
Players and revenue is more meaningful than 'copies sold and subscribers', when games have multiple price points and multiple points of access.
Oct 2nd was early access for certain editions, Steam for the same early access.

So again, you can't even get the most basic facts correct, you think people should believe what you say that is 100% based on made up BS?
The majority of those people were never going to buy the game anyway. So $18 is greater than $0. If a few of those players take several months to finish the game or forget to unsubscribe then even better.
Also of note should be the fact that it does not look like the full Ubisoft plus with day 1 releases is available on Playstation so all of those players paid full price.
Oh? And what "good reason" is that? How do you know?
Prove it. Only people that can say if something sold poorly or not at the same people who can determine what the expectations are. So ONLY Ubisoft can say if it sold poorly initially or not. So prove it with statements from Ubisoft.
If you cannot, then you are doing the same as others here, using made up BS solely based on your own feelings and ignorance.
Fair enough.
I was under the impression, that it released earlier on Ubi´s on launcher as the official release date was the 2nd.
That being said, it does not really change anything... day 1 revenue back in 2018, long long long ago.. in a much much cheaper game to develop..
What is important is if you make a net profit/loss and this game is in a loss atm.
This is for last year, Oct-Dec. Nothing to do with this game. We all know Ubisoft are having a hard time
Lol, you don't know what the budget for this game is. Again, you using made up BS.
Also rarely do successful games make a profit in the first week, so you saying it isn't profitable right now means absolutely nothing, just like everything you say.
I already listed sources many times for the 400m estimate (that is with marketing, but its a low estimate) I also listed Valhalla and Odyssey.
Again It is immensly funny, that so many people here think this is a little indie game.......
If this game had been a smash hit and profitable, they would have been rather avid to communicating this to shareholders.. instead they are holding off and making up "it might reach this projection"
Veilguard had a similar situation. If you look at actual successful AAA games, then you will notice, that they have been handled quite differently.
Feel free to share your own sources on revenue and development cost.
