This game is actually fun

It's so tiresome to see all the hate this game gets. It's actually a lot of fun, have good graphics and the stealth gameplay is vastly improved compared to the last games in the series.

It's also confusing that any sane person would be bothered by Yasuke being black, and why would it bother you that you can choose to be gay when it's completely optional and not forced upon you?

I am having a lot of fun. Not enough free time to play it. I tool around doing lots of side stuff, I still haven't gotten Yasuke yet. Looking forward to that for more options.

Naoe is a beast with the kusurigama, though.

Same here, I've been playing for 9 hours, and I still only have access to Naoe. It's been a blast so far.

Yes. You have to play through a bit of the story first before both are freely available.
And you can change character when ever, even if one of them gets in "wanted" status you can swap and no more wanted.
Some quest, challenges, "tombs" are char specific. some for all of it or just a specific part.

if the main character were a male Japanese I think it would have been the most sold AC but ofc they had to go political. I believe it because Japan is a cool setting and everyone loves it, a shame. Maybe in another paralel world AC Shadows is a true game not influenced by politics.
