Microsoft started hiding their hardware box hardware sales when they got whooped by Sony.
they never disclosed preorder number or progress-related financial details. That's what happens when games productions stuck in so called ongoing development hell.

Copies sold inclues pre sales (which big franchises always do, and tend to sell a lot during presales).
I’ve had a preorder with GameStop for this game since 2008 for Xbox 360.
