That's crazy.
Supposedly some of the gear does, but I'm of the opinion that if you can farm good gear through normal play, it's not a big deal. This is only a major downside in competitive games. I do think it's kind of absurd to ask money for a map icon unlock, but as long as you can hunt down the icons yourself, again, no skin off my back.
The armor is the lesser evil too, the real bad stuff is buying icons on map, upgrade resources and Exp, because you just know they adjusted the game to be very grindy so people are more tempted buy it.
Still hard for me to believe that those people are serious.
And I studied cult related derangement.
You just have to make so many twists that colide with reality to come to those conclusions.
Pretty sure those are all visual skins, it has been that way in Odyssey and Valhalla as well. The map packs only save some time.
I don't see the need for the micro transactions but those in games like War Thunder where you get better tanks if you pay are a lot worse to me.
Well, I didn't want to sound arrogant and ancient, but to be fair, I mostly believe it tends to be younger people and the years of normalising it worked great on them, as they consider it completely natural part of a singleplayer game.
That or they just think they're benign. When you come from a gacha background, you understand that the massive amount of players ride on the back of a handful of whales. So players like this might think, "Well, what do I care what they're offering? The people with way too much money can throw it at them, game does better, gets enjoyable DLC, and I don't have to spend a dime on the micro stuff."
