Can we all at least agree micro transactions are bad?
Taking aside all political considerations can we all just agree that this game doesn’t need such intense monetizing! I think Yasuke exists mostly as an excuse to sell you more swords and armor! This is too much!

"Bad" is situational. I'm okay with them in some cases, not so much in others. From what I've heard, this game does have microtransactions I think lean bad.
70$ game, you can buy ingame resources, you can buy ingame gear (not just cosmetic), you can buy qol like full map unlock. This is not just unacceptable, it is evil.

Resident Evil in fact, the same situation there
Yeah, there are people defending micro transactions in a 70$ Single-Player title.

That's crazy.
Micro transactions are at its worst when they give you an ingame advantage. They do not do so here so you don't -need- them.

Supposedly some of the gear does, but I'm of the opinion that if you can farm good gear through normal play, it's not a big deal. This is only a major downside in competitive games. I do think it's kind of absurd to ask money for a map icon unlock, but as long as you can hunt down the icons yourself, again, no skin off my back.

No, there are people defending and in a weird way, glorifying the not-that-micro transactions in the game around here. I don't even thik they are bots or trolling, just washed their brain a bit too hard and used aggressive soap.

The armor is the lesser evil too, the real bad stuff is buying icons on map, upgrade resources and Exp, because you just know they adjusted the game to be very grindy so people are more tempted buy it.

Still hard for me to believe that those people are serious.
And I studied cult related derangement.

You just have to make so many twists that colide with reality to come to those conclusions.

Pretty sure those are all visual skins, it has been that way in Odyssey and Valhalla as well. The map packs only save some time.

I don't see the need for the micro transactions but those in games like War Thunder where you get better tanks if you pay are a lot worse to me.

Well, I didn't want to sound arrogant and ancient, but to be fair, I mostly believe it tends to be younger people and the years of normalising it worked great on them, as they consider it completely natural part of a singleplayer game.

That or they just think they're benign. When you come from a gacha background, you understand that the massive amount of players ride on the back of a handful of whales. So players like this might think, "Well, what do I care what they're offering? The people with way too much money can throw it at them, game does better, gets enjoyable DLC, and I don't have to spend a dime on the micro stuff."

People were so angry that they literally waited until the game was out 6 months before doing it again. They know what they did
It is bad, but you don't have to buy them. The game is very playable without spending extra money on microtransaction.
Since at least origins they've pushed their helix store with predatory practices I'm surprised anyone noticed until now.

MTXs in those kinds of games are not right, but at the same time it is not "such intense monetizing". MTXs are burried somewhere in the menu. I opened it once, looked around, closed and forgot they were even there from there on. They are not pushed in your face and if you buy that crap, that's on you.
