PSA: Consider Buying the Maps Pack + Hideout Resource Bundles
These two quality of life microtransactions will save you so much time and hassle. Having played through most the game, I can say that many of the things that are exclusive to the maps packs would not be found without it.

These do NOT come with the deluxe edition, and basically only get the price up to $130 so you can have the full experience.

Just like free mobile games, you either pay with your time or your $$$, so definitely worth $$$ at least for me as it enabled to experience more of the game’s content without spending 20+ hours grinding.

i also bought some premium cosmetics in the cash shop, but definitely not required like the other two purchases. Have fun!

Remember when the apologists said that the microtransactions weren't influenced by the grind and there were no "incentives" to skip them by purchasing shortcuts? Now we're at a point where people accept it as the norm and are more than happy to pay for for them rather than actual content.

Can you explain why they're needed? Also, this doesn't need a bump.
Or wait long enough for 80k guides on youtube to premiere.

yknow, this is obviously bs, but i havent seen this bait before & im gonna give it a bump for something unique

Trying to help people out. Personally I’m giving advice to those who want to save time for IRL $$$ and experience the fullness of the content.
I'll skip the resource bundles, I enjoy earning my basebuilding resources. But what does the map pack include?

Unlike previous games where synchronizing would show all the details, that doesn’t happen in Shadows, so in order to interact with all the content you need to purchase the map.
I haven't advanced the story since getting Yasuke, and I've built literally everything in the hideout that can be built, besides cosmetics.

This is bad advice.

It reveals all the icons relevant to the purchase on the map. There is no content you can't see and/or get without the map pack. I like the cut of OP's jib for the lulz, but it is disinformation.

FIrst off thank you so much for the useful and informative post it's nice to just get some decorum among all the chaos around here.

I just wanted to ask if i buy the DELUXE edition ... do these benefits carry over? I don't really want to have to buy twice obviously it would be my fault because I wrongly assumed that the map pack would be all inclusive but it's understandable if it only unlocks the base game and then i would need to make additional purchases for future content.

Thank you so much again Grizz !!!

So you want people to buy a map pack, which effectively negates the point of exploring an open world and a resource bundle pack, which comes with exploring the open world/interacting with it? Question, why even play the game at that point? Also, if you want to save money, just use a youtube guide...

The Deluxe edition is what i bought and it does not include anything except for some premium cosmetics, so even with the Deluxe you will need to buy the maps pack and resources bundle if you want the full experience without 20+ hours of grinding.

You won’t be able to find everything without the maps pack. Unlike previous AC entries, Synchronization does NOT show all the waypoints, you need to buy the maps pack in the cash shop to see those like you could say in Valhalla.

This is just false. There are many waypoints that will only show up on the map if you buy the maps pack in the cash shop. Hope this helps.
