When is multiplayer coming?

Ubisoft had multiplayer working perfectly in Brotherhood, Revelations, AC3, and Black Flag. We had a whole competitive scene—sneaking, assassinating, and outplaying each other instead of just button-mashing combat. It worked fine. It was fun. It had a player base.

But now, after a decade, Ubisoft refuses to bring it back. Unity had co-op ten years ago, and somehow Shadows—a game built for next-gen—doesn’t even have that? Why are we stuck with just single-player when we used to have full-on assassination lobbies?

When is multiplayer coming back? Or is Ubisoft just pretending it never existed?

The PvP was actually alot of fun...

Something about having a giant needle as your weapon of choice... with a plague mask no less.

Unity had epic fun co-op multiplayer, and sometimes even challenging. We were laughing out loud playing with friend for the first time, planning the mission and then falling down to death from the roof because leap of faith won't trigger over and over again for 2 hours straight

Serious note OP there's a confirmed but years off co-op mode. The planned co-op is likely why Yasuke is playable at all.
