equipping gear restricted

this is a bug - cant change weapons in the middle of combat - cant change weapons while riding horse - fix this please

what makes you think that's a bug? it's common not to be able to change gear in the middle of combat in most games

Because I changed my active weapons mid fight many many times before... and suddenly I can't. But why?

Further, after a game reload or something, I can change my weapons mid fight again. I was prevented to do it only once in 58 hours of playing the game.

I'm having the same issue since a week ago and still can't change my weapons nor use kunai or any throwing item... is very annoying...

Had Melee Attack Mode set to Combo instead of Default. Returned setting to default, then switched weapons with R. I can use tools and change gear again.

thats not a bug.
you cant change gear when in combat or riding horses. lol. that's the *intended* feature. the bug is being able to switch. its the same for oddyssey.

Are you talking about switching between weapon slot A and weapon slot B? That should always be possible even midfight and I have had zero issues here in my game (PC). Or are you talking about equipping a brand new weapon from your inventory mid combat? That is something you are not allowed to do in this game.

You can switch in combat.

Just hit G on my keyboard if I want Yasuke to use a bow instead of the polearm.

However, I only use the Kusarigama for Naoe. Aside from tools.

An easier way to do it when you are using a bow is make the bow your secondary (B) weapon and your melee weapon your main weapon (A). Then when you want to instantly change to bow just hold the left trigger down and then the right trigger and you'll automatically change to the bow and to get the melee weapon back you just hit the Right bumper (Fast Attack) and it will switch back to melee,
