Ubisoft has a serious respect problem.
Between making Yasuke the ancestor of emperors in Japan, throwing away historical accuracy to sell mythological theme dlc, and thinking customers shouldn't own games, Ubisoft has a serious respect problem.

Yes. I don't even like monster hunter but yes.

60% positive due to poor optimization, good job Capcom.
Capcom made money while Ubislop loses money LOL

Dude it's not go woke go broke, it's go dumb get rung. Split fiction is woke as ♥♥♥♥ but smartly made and it's good. AC Shadows has dumb writing and it's trash.
To be fair Split Fiction hit a niche with couples. All the reviews start with "My wife/husband/partner and I...."

They got lucky.

Oh boy. Having sex with Oichi exactly once does not make someone an ancestor of emperors in Japan. Oichi did not even have any children after her first husband died... and he died about 7ish years before the game starts? And anyway, most modern Japanese people, rightfully, do not worship the Japanese emperor. They might recognize him as a descendant of Amaterasu, but not all do, even if they otherwise practice Shinto beliefs - Shinto, after all, is a very localized practice compared to Western monotheistic faiths we're all so familiar with. So, the equivalent of this is saying it's disrespectful to portray Queen Elizabeth I in a romance with someone other than Robert Dudley, which... well I'm sorry, it's just not. It's playing with history, which is the bedrock of historical fiction and speculative alternate history fiction. I promise you, many Japanese-developed games have portrayed romances between historical figures that didn't actually happen ... no one cares.

The second Assassin's Creed game also introduced aliens into the mix, and I'm pretty sure Odyssey had you fighting mythological beasts like gorgons. So idk what the issue is with involving mythological aspects. The series has always been low fantasy.

I'll give you the "people shouldn't own games" thing is ♥♥♥♥♥♥. But, that has nothing to do with this specific game really.

Fantasy doesn’t need to care about respecting or your feelings.
Fantasy should have free reign to tell whatever story the author wants.
Japanese have been appropriating western history, legends, mythology etc for their stories such as hundreds of anime’s.
Why exactly would it be disrespectful if Ubisoft does the same either heir culture? Rules for thee but not for me?
Nah.

Assassins Creed has never been historically accurate, nor should it ever be. It was always a fantasy sci-fi story. Since the start.
And the only reason they kept with the fantasy and made it even more prominent was because it was selling much more.
Sorry to break your little chud bubble but more people liked the recent Origins - Shadows series than they did the previous games, based on sales numbers.

And hilariously, black flag is still one of the best selling AC titles despite you literally not playing an Assassin and it being extremely historically inaccurate.

So go eat a cookie and calm down.

They don’t care about any of them. They don’t even care about Japanese culture. They’re just using all of that as an excuse because they can’t handle a black protagonist in a game with aliens.

Again? The right is so boring, they just keep recycling topics Ad Infinitum.

So Yasuke has sex once with Oda's sister and never again? What does her husband say? Does she say after Sex with Yasuke I don't want to have sex with you ever again?

you obviously have no idea what you are talking about. oda's sister's husband died years before the game takes place. she is a widow. so no, her husband does not rise from the grave as a ghost and say anything.

He shows up mid sex and says "nothing is true, everything is permitted" while giving a thumbs up to Yasuke.

Japanese movie also had Nobunaga has homosexual relation with his generals. And also had Yasuke beheaded Nobunaga.
