Did the game just skip some quests? (Stuck with skull enemies)

So ive just unlocked Yasuke at lvl 14 but the next main story quests are lvl 18 and ive been killed twice by skull enemies just trying to get there.

Have I missed something? Do i need to level up on side missions?

Explorer a bit, do not focus only on main quest. Also Yasuke is terrible, to brutal for a Samurai and may use GUNS, I mean GUNS, a Samurai using guns is just no.

yah you have to do some side quests a few times through the game to keep up to level with the main assassination target missions.

There is literally an entire period of time where Samurai regularly used firearms. Maybe learn your history before you start babying.
