FOG is everywhere and it is unbearable.
So, does everyone okay with fog all over the place in AC shadows? I'm not talking about the fog of war of the map btw. It bothers me and I can't seem to make it go away. Already set the volumetric fog low and it still there making the towns look washed, game appears as gray and limit my visibility.

I do believe the fog is part of the weather its nice touch, It should not always be foggy maybe your video card is broken or something :steammocking:

dammit, so that's their creative decision and no way to tweak it in the setting? ill wait for a mod then.
I haven't seen fog at all, I mainly get rain and strong winds.

It's extremely foggy only during snowfall in the winter season, otherwise not so much.
I am a notorious fog and haze hater and haven't had any issue with it. Maybe it's just a bad luck streak related to the season
Depends on the season, weather, and time of day. Sometimes it's foggy sometimes it's perfectly clear
Yeah I've just googled if there's anyway to remove the gameplay fog as I agree it's way too much and makes the colours look washed out.

Hopefully a mod will come out soon.

I've only seen fog next to Lake Biwa during the winter, and it wasn't that oppressive to deal with. Ya'll be complaining about your own shadows at this point.

OP - I'm having same issue - i freaking hate it!!
The overuse of volumetric fog, and especially the bloom associated with it, is extremely obnoxious

It is probably related to whatever graphics settings you are using. With mine the fog is only ocassional and not all that bad.
I think this is what he is talking about. The banding is caused by YouTube's crappy encoder but the overall dull, blurry lifeless look is from the fog effect. For me this happens only at night

I dont have fog much, if at all, it could be a bug, I have a lot of bugs that are rendering my game less than enjoyable, like being unable to use my tools or swap weapons.
I didn't even know fog was a thing in this game as I haven't seen any in 40+ hours of gameplay. Huh...wonder what I need to do to get some going in my game?

Well, damn...looks like someone bumped into you and got Silent Hill into your AC Shadows. Honestly, in my second play thru, I wouldn't mind a mod that did that.

I never seen a fog like in this video, I have seen some, but it's rare and was more related to winter/

But in video it's probably the accumulated effect of fog and night that hits more, I noticed it for night & rain.
