I love all the "but veilguard!", like, yeah you're right, I guess Assassin's Creed was never a successful series then. But the DEI SBI FBI game is the most successful game in the series still.

this game is struggling to hit 70k.. after 3 days.. so yeah..

It beat every single Assassins Creed ever but that's struggling apparently. Keep moving the goalposts and cope more

...Guy above me does not know what he is talking about. And he is surely not a gamer...
Guy with private profile says someone with 300+ Games and thousands of hours in actually good games is "surely not a gamer". Hilarious.
hes not one to me. Gamers support developers and games. Not prey for them to go bankrupt. and you don't sound like one either.

Only in your own mind.

Wasn't Obsidian Entertainment supposed to close? I was very specifically told by many such people that Obsidian Entertainment was going to shut down as a studio because Avowed was a flop.

Yet, it's crazy, I'm Googling it and I'm only seeing that Microsoft and Obsidian were happy with the game. And I'm not seeing anything about a studio closure. In fact I'm not even seeing so much as a janitor getting laid off.

Very weird...

Was I mislead?

Avowed had around 125 people working on it. Ubisoft has over 18,000 Employees. This game needs to sell a hell of a lot more to break even.

Doesn't matter. Doesn't matter. I was very specifically told by many many people that the studio was going to close down.

In fact, I'm starting to nootice something...

Wasn't Bioware Edmonton supposed to close down?
Yeah it's weird because when I look, it's still there?

What's that about?

And? Failguard peaked at 90k players day one and that was a failure.. this game is struggling to hit 70k.. after 3 days.. so yeah.. and being the "highest" AC game of all time blah blah blah.. is meaningless this game beat a previous AC game.. in peak players.. so what?

The Sales figures are bad, otherwise Ubisoft would be publishing them like.. idk like MH did? a much more niche game than AC but still doing peaks of 300k players..

Hopefully Ubisoft get brought out and shut down. its a glorious day to watch people cope and seeth lying to them selves this game was a success XD
70k on steam, 95% of players are not on steam, They're on Ubisoft connect. think before you speak.

yea because sales are much much higher than concurrent players. Sales are probably 3 -4 million and that number was yesterday. IT has increased since then. There is no failure. Take your hate somewhere else anti developer anti gamer. Why are you people even on Steam. You don't support our hobby.

Dude if you fish for awards, you wont get any from me.
I give awards only to people who are helpful, i never give clown awards.
If game actually sold 4 million Ubisoft would scream about that all over Twitter and other social media.
So yea........
I could care less about any awards. I am totally serious when your wanting one of the great developers to go bankrupt. You people do not support this hobby at all.

That may be true if everything else is the same as 6.5 years ago. What is the trend of players on steam now vs 2018?
Oh by the way . You will never see me game bashing.....NEVER. And I know many on here just like me. Your not one of them. I supported Veilguard, Starfield, and Avowed. Games I didn't enjoy I just stayed out of those forums.

Dude Awoved was released a little over month ago.
Do you think Companies close studios after one month?
Also most of people who worked on Veilguard are shifted to other studios.
While studio still official exist it probably have 10 people who still work there.
Steam numbers mean little for ubi games. Most players buy through ubi launcher because that's where the biggest discounts are thanks to the Units (currency) you collect when you buy and play their games through their launcher. For example now I have a 20% discount for ac shadows. Plus tons of players play on consoles. Given that, I'm personally surprised that there are 60k+ players here. I expected 20-30k less.

I have for years..Especially since for awhile they didn't release on Steam for months after. 62K playing is a massive number for a Ubi game on Steam.

Its their fault, not mine.
They have years and years of awful costumer practices with cutting content to sell later as expensive DLCs, million edition that cost over 120e, and you need to buy most expensive edition to have access to whole game, then microtransaction in SINGLE PLAYER games.
I am just surprised they manage to get away with all of that for so long.
Now maybe they will be purchased by someone who will actually respect costumers and who wont come at them and say that people should feel comfortable not owning their games.
But shills will shill no matter what.

Now we know, when they announce 'players' instead of 'copies sold,' it's gone really bad.

Still no 1M copies sold announcement, by the way.
