Ambushed

So, there is a group in the game that seems to ambush you on places. However, I am on a place in a level 29 (aka level scale of my character) and I get ambushed by a character with a SKULL icon. Looks like it was intended, and the game even SAVED on that point. Just a warning that this can happen somehow. It is a scummy moment and makes me want to quit the game.
