40+ hours and still no ally

It's been over 40 hours since I started the game, and I haven't been able to recruit any allies, including Yaya. Does anyone know why? :/

So few people even have the Ronin achievement for meeting Ibuki just once, I'm not terribly surprised; though by the point you should have found the first three via the main quests if doing things linearly.

You can train them at the hideout, if you have a dojo. They give you active and passive abilities.
Generally speaking, they make fighting or sneaking easier, if called from the item menu.

Yaya for example, if called, will show up from offscreen and demolish a couple enemies before leaving again.

That sounds good. Thanks. I went to the hideout and tried to build dojo yesterday. Sadly I did not have enough materials. Hmmm I need to figure out how to get more.

I think for Yaya you must convince her to forgive her former monk who has plundering the christian shrine. You can convince her after to join the group.

Use your scout points for claiming the resource pallets from store houses in camps, they recharge when the season changes.
Do contracts from the hideout "steal resources etc" they refresh when season changes as well.

The Yaya story is so dumb. She joined me on killing a bunch of people, then got upset because I let the old guy kill one more soldier after the battle where we killed like 100 people. Then I do her quest and show her that I've changed, she still refuses to join. Thus I'm just left questioning what the point of anything involving Yaya was after the two missions with her. Hopefully they pop up again.

Like imagine being offended at allowing the death of one more soldier after said soldier has been accused of setting people on fire while they are alive and after Yaya helped us raid and kill the soldiers camp.

Well she is all for forgiveness, she is a warrior monk haha.

BEcause you need to continue the story to unlock the first three. Two need to be found, and the last only appears after Naoe's second journey.

After 25H+ (including misc wandering) I only got Yaya, but that's it. That's short, I'll probably get bored and stop play the game before get anybody else.

Yeah, I got Yaya now. I had done everything in Izumi Settsu except for the two main quests, so I went looking to see if one of the two gave an Ally, as you know one did.

My comment wasn't a complaint, it was just pointing out to the responder that "I still wanna see some type of proof haha, it’s astonishing to see someone play that long and don’t have a scout yet" wasn't what I, and guessing the OP had scouts, just not allies.
