Go Woke Go Broke will always be true

Ubisoft are a game developer that created some of the most fun games from my childhood long before it adopted the Woke ideology. It's games were innovative and immersive with well written stories. This is what allowed Ubisoft to become one of the largest giants in the gaming industry

Today Ubisoft is seen as nothing more than a bastion for Woke, uninnovative and generic gameplay. It's games are essentially reskin after reskin and it's writing is what you would expect from a secondary school drama class. An Assassin's Creed based in Feudal Japan was always the most anticipated game in the series and while it is doing well in reviews it still needs to sell million of units just to break even not to mention it's just Assassin's Creed. It's not a giant AAA title. Even if successful it would never be enough to save Ubisoft. What's more is that now that Feudal Japan is done it can only go down from here. Claiming this as a win for the Woke ideology when the entire company is going under because of it is ridiculous

Don't attack a strawman. Not all games are woke. The most successful games however are not woke. Also the developers that embraced Wokeness are all going under or hurting in some way. It's the same with TV and Movies.

It's a shame though because I love games like Anno and grew up playing the likes or Far Cry. At least we still get games like KCD 2, RDR2 and GTA etc plus the strategy genre isn't really touched by Woke nonsense
