How's going the new AC: Shadows and how's doing Ubisoft
As an old fan (I don't touch an AC since Origin) I'm interested in knowing how the series is doing and honestly knowing how badly is doing Ubisoft in the last years I'm a bit sad.
I read a bunch of reviews and I was to make a reserch on the subject but then I decided to ask directly to the audiance since I don't have that much trust in the news outlets anymore and the reviews I saw didn't quite gave me an answer.
So, what do you think about the new game? Is it saving the company? Did they learn something or they still make the same mistakes?

Looking from the outside in;
-#1 Top Seller but preliminary estimates put Steam ownership between 106k - 324k
-Highly rated, just like Dragon Age Veilguard
-Lower Steam concurrent players tho, most people likely playing it through the $18 subscription and we are already seeing it being discounted to $60 at Best Buy
It's the same type of game as always. Quest here and there, walking simulator, do these other objectives, do some achievements, finish the game sort of like the past 10 years or so.

As for Ubisoft, if they don't get enough sales, they might be forced to fork over their IPs to a different company due to negligence of the audience.

AC is like Pokemon so you know what you get. It's a good, possibly great, installment of the AC formula for the last decade or so.

Whether Shadows saves or kills Ubi is impossible to know at this time. Anyone telling you they know for sure is selling you snake oil. We can look in the stock markets and player numbers like they'll eventually reveal a vision or a sign but it's all premature.

The game looks like a solid 6, maybe a 7 if we ignore 'the message.'

As for Ubisoft, they’re not doing so well:

They’re not announcing copies sold, only 'players' numbers.

The game peaked at nearly half of what Veilguard did.

Their stock is still dropping despite the game release.

Looks like this will be the last AC game ever.

Something's telling me that if that other AC title get cancelled there will still be Rift but it will be a GAAS F2P probably published by some chinese companies. But this is just my thought based upon nothing.
I was sceptical of getting AC Shadows. But after introduction part with Naoe (Hope i spelled her name right).

It does get better. I mean sure you will have case of "So bad its good moments" like Yaya character looks like DEI Sasuke from Naruto. Or random hip hop and rock music which doesnt fit feudal Japan at all (Music itself isnt bad but those moments are the so bad its... well cringe but its entertaining)

Overall the story in midway i think does make the game good. So i will say

7/10. I do recommend it.

As far as the culture war goes. It will be culture war.
