We're constantly told that REPRESENTATION MATTERS, but under DEI rules, not if you're an East Asian male. Anyone who argues against representation for East Asian Males - especially in an Asian setting - is racist as far as I'm concerned.

I love Ubisoft. I love Assassin's Creed. But this ? I can’t say nothing anymore. This is why the studio is in trouble those last years, because we have been too much lenient. Today everyone is complaining about games filled to the brim with bugs, woke stories, gameplay made for the "modern audience", battle passes, etc. We have this now because not enough people complained when we should have (including myself). Now we have this sort of games. Sure some of them are fine, AC Shadows is fine. But we are speaking about AAA games (or even AAAA), "fine" isn’t enough both for gamers and the studios.
They had such a great recipe for good games until the complete shift with AC Origins. Then every new AC games became a diluted version of what AC truly was. Until Shadows where they completely thrown away the main storyline of Assassin’s Creed, along with every duality between the Assassin and the Templars (and at an extent with concepts like the eternal clash of Order and Chaos), thoughtful themes and more grey stories when the line between good and evil is more blurry. This is what Assassin's Creed was about initially. Now look what has been left with Shadows. Almost nothing. And this is just the top of the iceberg.
Here is another video
I am a veteran gamer who played all stealth Batman Arkham series, Ghost of Tsushima , Dishonered series, AC 1 to 3 and blackflag etc.
ACS is a buggy LGBQT simulator 🏳️🌈

There is not a single Bug-free Game in whole Human history.
You just have to turn off your brain and approach the game as if it's something else. You play games other than Assassin's Creed right? Just because these games don't feel like Assassin's Creed anymore, doesn't mean you can't find something to love about them such as the exploration, it's a petty reason to miss out on them. That's how I got through Odyssey, I told myself "okay, this isn't Assassin's Creed, I'll just pretend it's a different big release and enjoy it for what it is." I ended up completing the main game, killing all the order members, finishing every side-quest in the entire game, filling out the entire map, and completing all the DLC 100%. It was a very memorable experience and I had 100's of pictures along the way that I still look at from time to time for nostalgia of my first play through when my parent's were still living. They never played a game in their life, but I shared a ton of the photos I took of the landscapes with them and some of the stories of my adventures. :)
Ubislop delayed the game to polish it how many excuses do we have to tolerate with all this AAA company keep promising? Even a playstation 2 title runs better than this game
I usually play games before giving my thoughts. Especially when it comes for franchise I love like this one. But there has been so much drama and backlash over this game I decided to watch different reviews/playthrough instead before buying (a sound move to do when you are hesitating). What I learned afterward is everything I wrote on my original post. Thankfully we have the Internet to inform ourself with a lot of different points of view when we actively search something and are whiling to look at both sides of the story. But it looks like such concepts are too much complicated for some people on this forum.
