Random fps drops and stutter and posible fix
Sometimes when I enter a new area the fps drops for a few seconds and I have to go into the menu and change any settings and return them to how they were and it fixes itself.

I play at 40 fps lock at very high setting with ray tracing high and DLAA and 1080p

My PC:

CPU; Inter core i7 12700
GPU: RTX 3090
RAM: 32gb ram 3200mhz
SSD: 1TB

Does anyone else have this problem?

Yes,I have the same problem,
Will try mod you proposed.
Edit: That said, I've noticed high (up to 100%) GPU utilization, while CPU is at 20-30. It doesn't look like CPU bottleneck in my case.

Same, CPU IS Between 20-30

i don't have these issues, and my system is quite similar to OP's (i9 10900K / 3090).
i'm not constantly watching my FPS, but the game runs smooth enough for me with quite high settings in 4K. i'm using DLSS qualiy setting (DLSS Swapper) and have no stutters or any other problem.

This does fix the stutter when interacting bug that was introduced in 1.0.1

Exactly. It's an annoying and immersion-breaking issue.

To those who noticed this regression, and if you didn't already, please upvote this official bug report:

https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/game/assassins-creed/shadows/bug-reporter/issues/ACSH-4908

We need to push Ubisoft to move this from Open to In Progress.
