Why do you consider Black Flag the best in the series?
If you do-I'm curious.

Because I've been thinking, and aside from a great pirating meta I don't understand why Black Flag is loved so much. I know the meta is plenty to praise enough for being a fun game, but why does this game scream "Assassin's Creed" to you?

Well pirates are cool of course and the whole sailing, naval combat and boarding mechanic was done so well at the time it elevated the game above other AC games and even sparked the conversations they could make an entire new spin off game just around the sea mechanics. That idea unfortunately got cancelled and the result NEVER HAPPENED.

I don't like Black flag, I think Brotherhood and 2 are the best in the series

You summed it up rather nicely.

I really, really wish Ubi would of just made a spinoff/remaster of blackflag with a CC, larger open world and more ships to pilot... now it doesn't look like we will ever get that :/
Its probably for the best. the last few AC games ive played have been macro-transaction riddled nightmares. idk, id still buy blackflag 2 lol

I respect this response
The ship combat was really well done. Even little things like finding and catching the shanties that your crew could then sing, finding treasure, and harpooning sharks. It really felt like being a pirate and exploring. It was thrilling to come upon a legendary ship, and the battles were challenging enough without being frustrating. What makes a game like that great are a few key factors: rewarding exploration; rewarding combat; addictive progression. Any open world action game that nails all 3 will be a success. Getting the progression right is probably the hardest part, but Black Flag was a game that did it well.

that sucks because i would've bought that
Black flag was the only one I really enjoyed, I loved the naval combat and the ascetic.

You should really give Rogue a try if you like Black Flag. In Rogue your ship is a bit faster, you get a Puckle Gun which is which is a swivel cannon that works like a Gattlling Gun and instead of fire barrels you spread oil out the back and light it on fire which is a great way to get an advantage fighting the Legendary Ships. Instead of blow darts you get a air rifle that shoots sleep and berserk darts with an AoE so you can berserk 4 guys at a time if you do it right and watch them kill each other and then finish off the only survivor. (Or just watch him keel over then the berserk effect runs out)

My last AC game that i think is the best was Revelations. Then when i tried AC3 i felt empty, "something is wrong here" i thought. And resigned from the series.

I thought the Ezio series were considered the most popular? I mean they made three games about that guy.
these are all valid points, but I'm trying to understand whats 'Assassin's Creed' about black flag. Cause you guys always say Black Flag is the most Assassin game in the series, but it displays the least Assassin elements

Great pirate game, mid Assassin Creed game. The pirate aspect is what make's people say it's the best.

Because it had the content of it's predecessors, refined what worked. Added a New theme, creativity in Ship mechanics, depicted multiple factions, gave you even more content on top like your own island, heaps of mini games. Gameplay and Content was really good you could go deep sea diving, Spear fishing, tavern mini games, pirate punch ups etc.

After that Rogue also had good ship mechanics and good story but they started removing alot of content that black flag had, they started being stingy in future titles you couldn't have ship mechanics but they never replaced it with a new creative element, you could use a air balloon once in unity. They started doing greedy business with yearly releases and putting in micro-transactions etc.

Worst of all their games started releasing extremely buggy. Then the stories quality dropped and narratives started catering to recent politics. and the genre initially was grounded with fantasy elements but they wanted to go high fantasy with pegasus, Cyclopes and mythical stuff, & RPG thinking that would somehow fix their bugs. But it's not full RPG you cant create your character but you choose from 2 options. Most Ubisoft fans are Action - Adventure fans, so that was dumb.
define recent politics
Odyssey (and later Valhalla) outsold all three of the Ezio games put together.

Personally I thought all the games before Origins were a 6 at best. Wonky game mechanics, non-linear left joystick control (It works like a D-pad not a joystick) with a stupid pull a trigger to run mechanic. Trigger an animation combat which kind of looks cool at first but after you've seen the same 3 or 4 animations a thousand times it got pretty boring. Auto climb anything you bump into then hang there like an idiot. I give Black Flag and Rogue an 8 and a 7 because the ship mechanics were so good I could overlook the wonkiness of the land based stuff (still hate all the stupid follow missions and QTEs for animal attacks)

Odyssey
Origins

Because it's actually a game with a fun gameplay with a ton of differents gameplay and all fun, the only minus point is following a target. The soundtrack is exceptionnal and the design is wow. Yes, it's not really a assassin creed game, but what count when you play a videogame is the game part.
