Here's Ubisoft's bookings from 2023-2024:

North America: 1,238,000,000 Euros
Europe: 814,000,000 Euros
Rest of the World: 269,000,000 Euros

Japan falls into some portion of 'Rest of the World'. Japan is not the huge market to Ubisoft you seem to suggest. I'm not saying the controversy in the Japanese Diet isn't a contributing factor to the stock drop, it's just not as large as you're suggesting.

And Japan produces it's own games about Japan, it doesn't need a foreign developer to do it for them.

Ubisoft has been having some issues for a few years now, which explains why they've taken some steps they've taken to bring people back into the fold.. Ended the Exclusivity deals with Epic games, put achievements A ton of the games they brought onto steam.

I'm a huge fan of Ubisoft and hope they recover, I don't even understand half the hate their games get, I've been in love with almost every one from the time I started playing Far Cry 3.
