So i've watched Grounded 1 (Last of Us Part 1 Documentary on youtube) and i got the answer. Basically no corporate mechanics in the team, everyone is free to speak directly without maners because you're a sensible person and everyone can express their ideas. No 4 guys you have to come through to tell to the lead designer "this is not fun, would be better to do this". And if you haven't yet, i HIGHLY suggest you to play TLOU 1 & 2 and you will see what a great Triple A game looks like. These days in triple A space there is only 4 studios that are regular on quality triple A : Kojima, Rockstar, Naughty Dog & CD Projekt (Exception with the CP2077 start but turned out pretty good after a year).
Ubisoft is MILES away behind them. And people liking Ubisoft games are the most casual players or/and players with really low experience in gaming. Ubisoft makes generic games, that will not mark you in anyway (at least since 8 years). I mean go do RDR2, TLOU games, Metro Exodus, it's pure art because you feel every inch of the experience meant for you. After finishing them you will talk of them, think about them, they will even make you learn things for your own life. That's real Triple A experience and how it should be.
Ubisoft games, you start the game and you already know what to do, you are in a safe environnement, cause its the same game since 20 years with just few improvements and additions but there is no revolution made anywhere in their games since a LONG TIME. We left them maps & graphism as a sign of their quality but for real, not even those anymore. Again, go play TLOU 1 remaster, that is a remaster of a 2013 game, and it blows up AC Shadow in graphism & artistic direction (textures & all details everywhere) and also maps, TLOU level designs are FAR superior and far more beautiful than what Ubisoft make.
Last Ubisoft game i played was Valhalla and i played like 70 hours of the game and i couldn't finish the story cause the whole experience was filled with generic stuff and nothing that marked me. I already forgot 98% of it. RDR2, CP2077, The Witcher 3 i can still explain their stories, how i felt playing them, tell which moments i prefered, even if i haven't experienced them for a long time. Ubisoft has become what Netflix productions are to movies. So yeah, some people will watch them and say that was cool, but honestly they will forget those productions quick after, cause it's pure non-art and just pop corn shows for consumption and watch time. And that's why Breakin Bad is the most loved shows of all time and that 99% of Netflix productions will never get the TOP 100.
And last of us doesnt interest me because I think the story is too dramatic/sad and I dont like that stuff...the game itself, sure, looks nice and all that but the story kinda bothers me I think
You begging for a non AC game...
My theory is, these studios and people are just stealing money from mother company, sponsors, grants .. talks a lot, doing not much.
There is not much going on if you think about it. You have 5-10k people working on the project, game .. takes 5 plus years to make, still only early access, doesnt even have basic game mechanics like 10 or even 30 years ago .. there is something seriously wrong and those are just lazy slackers, stealing money ..
Husband sends message to wife: Honey, going out for a beer, will be back in 15 minutes, if not, read this again.
How many did you actually played and how many hours total for all and how many hours for your best game?
40 hours in 2 weeks for your best game? Doesnt sound so good.
But what if I like the genre, Japan + katana like Ghost of Tsushima, Sekiro, Rise of the Ronin, Nioh etc... I like these games so AC Shadows is the best AC for me and a good addition because its in Japan and I wanted it since the Ezio trilogy.
i second that, AC Shadows is THE BEST AC game
I also have 136h 24m hours play time on AC Origins with Ubisoft Launcher but to answer 40h in 2 weeks, I works during week and do other stuff so I play when I can I wish I could give more time tho.
