they don't care about the game. Hell most likely they didn't even play it. Hence they suffer from transparently vague and bad arguments, which make them easy to spot.
However they are quite worked up and relentless for some reason.
I guess there is no stopping them. But it's good to know about them, help filter the noise.
It's all there is to it :)
I want the specific instances that Japanese Culture is disrespected in the live game.
I also want to see word from the people who were in fact, specifically disrespected who actually have a horse in the race. British Dudes who cosplay as Japanese dudes on twitter do not count, mind you.
"Japanese Pariament" did not. One Diet member raised it in a session, and the Prime Minister responded. Their concern was patched out of the game, by the way.
Japan has put Yasuke in enough games, and have had kunoichi in enough games, that I honestly doubt the soul of the nation is offended by Shadows.
You have to read through the broken G-translate unless you can read it yourself. Even the comments mirror what everyone's said in the regard to their culture being used more or less as a minimal viable product.

This was shared with me in another discussion on just this matter, since I didn't get it either.
I know most of us don't even get these kinds of things recommended to our feeds since it's typically outside of our normal browsing algorithms but words on the matter do exist.
Authenticity doesn't actually mean factual or historical accuracy, it means how much it feels like it's real.
Granted this is a game series where you have magical eyes, super hero like resilence, magical items that control minds, aliens, a magic weilding pope and you fight Odin and a Minotaur.
Accuracy was never the concern.
I've read through this before and even been part of a chat that picked apart how many of the comments didn't actually come from someone that speaks or writes in Japanese fluently.
So I'm gonna repeat, people who cosplay as Japanese don't really count.
Probably lesson learned to not using historical characters as the playable character.
My honest opinion is that Yasuke was chosen specifically to distract people from the fact that the game is actually about Naoe. It's the first time a mainline AC game has specifically follows the story of a female protagonist.
Yasuke is there taking bullets for her.
We tend to look at actual Japanese sources and social media for feedback, instead of Western ones that are considered afterthoughts.
Like looking at YouTube instead of Nico Nico tends to make it obvious someone isn't looking for Japanese native opinions. There's a lot more positive than negative over there.
I mean if you had to ask me, we have had a protagonist that has a gender choice for a good decade now.
I honestly dont get why they decided to not do that this time around.
In this case it's not really a bad take that's being shielded, but probably developers realizing it's easy to distract from one thing with another. Naoe's story is pretty freaking incredible. Yasuke really feels like a secondary character or sidekick when you get down to it. And he does that work on a meta level by distracting people who don't play with racism instead of sexism.
