My point is that by letting you create your own character, nothing changes. If I put on a Ubi-Shop skin and look like a demon with flaming armour and an otherworldly skull mask no one says anything. Why not let me change what my physical character looks like?
I sorta figured this was their last game with all the years of ultra expensive flops and general mismanagement.
A guy can dream though... Its crazy that these company's are allergic to making money. People have been asking for years to do a Blackflag remake, maybe add some QOL features, but Ubi just refused to give the people what they want. Instead we got some weird sudo-arena shooter with ships, set on the other side of the planet and a AAAA price tag.
A Blackflag remake would of sold 10+ million copies, easy. If they added in multiple selectable ships, co-op/multi and a CC it would of sold 20+ mill the first month. Thats just base game, not to mention all the macro-transaction cash shop bs they stack into these games.
Idk, maybe AC:S will be a giga-success and save the company. We live in interesting times lol
If you as the player are playing a character within a character within a character or jumping around between multiple ones in time or however "you" want to interoperate "mindjacking others" the first one is always the blankest slate till the endgame so it feels custom-made to have at least that one be a player character creator one
I cannot call it no.
I agree it would be nice. I am still waiting for Ubisoft to make a skyrim like game but they seem fixated on linear narrative driven games with a preset protagonist. I tried Farcry 6 on gamepass and immediately uninstalled after getting the alligator and riding the horse which looked like the same horse from the AC games. They have all the assets and the engine to make a game that is like Skyrim but they are locked behind the rules of egotistical executives who are out of touch with reality. AC Shadows characters seem more interesting than Valhalla and Odyssey to me though.
