While previous recent Ubisoft titles did not have pre-order this one likely will have pre-order. Apparently there is a Steam policy that you cannot have pre-orders on games already released on other PC game stores. Since this is releasing day one that policy doesn’t apply.

However typical pre-order bonuses are cosmetics not expansions. Historically Ubisoft expansions were included in higher tier versions but Ubisoft may be doing things differently starting with this release so I’m not sure how they will package them.

It's very likely that we'll have the pre-order in December or January (I'm speculating), since this isn't against Steam's policy as the game was just delayed and not released. So we just have to wait for new information.

They scrapped the season's pass and announced the first expansion will be free to everyone. It's part of how they've restructured how they're going to manage this title. What that also means is that there's likely other expansions planned to some degree and you'll have to get them at full price now.

I still don't get why it retails at $70 for standard. They would generate more revenue by pricing it at $60.
