Game Crashing at 'Press Start' Screen
I have been playing this game for a few days now and even earlier today. I tried to play it again and it gets past GFWL login and all the way to the press start screen and closes out there every time after I click start. Updated my graphics driver and rebooted but still no luck.

Anyone else having this problem?

I really do not think game crashing is related to GFWL
The only thing I think I did differently the last time I played the game was I used the quit to desktop menu item in the game. I think previously I had gone all the way back to the main menu before I quit. This shouldn't be causing any problem though if I have reinstalled the game and deleted the save game. Did you see in my error logs from the launcher where it was trying to load files and they didn't exist. That path doesn't even exist on my computer...
I found someone with a similar issue, but not sure how to resolve.

Same issue. I seem to be able to get mine to start if I log out of GFWL. Of course then it won't let me save.
I tried to fix mine by uninstalling the windows live client and getting the new one from the marketplace, but now my game won't even launch.... Maybe I did something wrong there, but I followed the directions. I know that fix was more for Windows 8 and I'm on 7, so shouldn't have that problem - as the game was working prior. I really want to play this game, but trying to fix it is work I don't want to do, so I've been playing other games instead. When I have a chance. I'm going to uninstall everything, reboot, install again, create a new live profile and see if that works.
Sounds the same as my issue, I have other games to placate me for now

And if you did what it showed there, make sure that Tron: evolution is not running as admin, i noted its not allowing the game to start
No, I couldn't figure it out and moved onto another game. I do want to play it, so maybe when I have more time I will research it and try again. Will report back if anything fixes it.

Ok love to hear if you find a fix, i am trying to get a fixing tread going, to make it easy for new users to find all the fixes for the game in one place
I'm getting the same problem with the same error log now. Was working fine yesterday. I think it's an issue with Windows Live. They did discontinue the service for games.
Sorry if I was a bit too late to reply. I found a fix that worked for me:

Disable Steam Cloud synchronization:
Right click TRON: Evolution, Properties, Updates tab, disable "Enable Steam Cloud Synchronization..."

Delete the folder "TRON Evolution" found on:
C:\Users\*username*\Documents\Disney Interactive Studios\

Launch the game. You should be able to get past the title screen while logged in to Games for Windows LIVE. If it did, close the game and re-enable Steam Cloud sync.

I hope this will help you play the game once again. :)

People shouldn't do this part. It's completely unnecessary. If the entire Disney Interactive Studios folder is deleted, they will lose all their settings in the game: resolution, graphics settings, key bindings, etc. (The Steam Cloud feature does not back up your settings, ironically enough. Only your saved game.)

I added the solution to the "Click to Start" crash to Black Blade's guide a couple of days ago. All that's necessary is to remove the CHECKPT file.

Temporarily turning off TRON Evolution's Steam Cloud feature, or putting Steam in offline mode, both achieve the same result. A way to prevent Steam from re-downloading a backup of the corrupt CHECKPT file that's causing the crash, before you have a chance to create a new CHECKPT file.

Sadly, you will lose all your progress in the game if this fix works for you.
Aaaah another broken mess.

First try: GWFL always crashes on me while hovering over the password field to login.

Second try: Updated GFWL, now it will crash WHILE trying to login.

Third try: Disabled x360ce, it logs in but fails with GFWL error 0x80072751.

F*ck you Microsoft.
