I do hope they'll get around to fixing this situation, eventually. But I don't see it happening in the short term.
but its doubtful since the game is almost a decade old now and they will have to throw money at someone to remove the DRM.
And the claims the game was pulled because "They lost the rights to the Daft Punk music" is flat out wrong. Tron Evolution is still available for purchase for PSN and XBL.
The issue is PC specific and has to do with the DRM and whatever deal Disney made with the DRM's makers, Securom

Once Disney found out they couldn't sell TRON Evolution on Steam any more, they didn't renew their contract with SecuROM and let it expire.
But the rights expiring for use of Daft Punk's soundtrack was a reasonable guess to make. If a contract between Disney and Daft Punk, for use of their music, is issued at the time a particular version of TRON Evolution goes on sale: remember that the Steam version released much earlier than the XBL digital download version.
If the contract for the Steam version expired, and the contract length is the same for the XBL version, then the contract for XBL wouldn't have expired yet.
As a side note, I'm not seeing the actual PS3 TRON Evolution game available for download on the PlayStation Store site. Only a wallpaper, avatars, and the DLC. The page says "Disc Only".

are you really so dense that you can not tell Tron Evolution was taken down for sale BECAUSE THE CRAP COMPANY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DRM WILL NOT AUTHENTICATE AND LET PAYING CUSTOMERS PLAY THE GAME?!?
and
- NOT Daft Punk music.
which would have gotten ALL versions of the game delisted (meaning console)
your XBL argument is nonsense
I'm not sure if the game was ever available digitally for PS3
game is digital on PSN for PSP/Vita: https://store.playstation.com/en-us/product/UP1082-ULUS10548_00-TRONEVOLUTIONDGT
- NOT GFWL keys
there are still GFWL games sold on steam that generate CD keys upon purchase. These games would have been pulled as well if your theory were true.
I have no idea why you would argue any other point when it is plainly obvious why Tron Evolution was pulled from Steam. AGAIN: its the DRM will not allow paying customers to play the game.
His not arguing the music was the reason, he says that before this and that was made clear it was a possible option, and it was
That dose not mean he says it yet is, or is the reason

you're holding me to this standard, and not him?
I did read what he said. I don't know why he or anyone else would feel the need to argue points that are provably false. Its weird and insulting to have someone double down like that when, yet again, the reason the game was pulled down is obvious: if you buy the game the DRM won't let you play it. That's the reason why!
FWIW, I'm sorry I screwed up your thread getting into an internet slap fight.
Trip Fisk, I did read your post properly. Yes, we know the reason why the game can no longer be authenticated: because Disney stopped paying SecuROM for the use of their DRM service.

"Unfortunately, Disney decided not to use SecuROM any further."
But why did they do this. What reason did Disney have for no longer renewing their contract with SecuROM, and to stop selling the game. I was trying to add that detail, by suggesting the possible reason. GFWL keys.
Thank you. You understood the point I was trying to make. Explaining why it was a reasonable theory for people to have – at the time, in the beginning – before we knew more.
I was explaining why it was a good theory in the beginning, when the game was first delisted. It's clearly not the reason, now that we know otherwise.
The companies that publish those games likely still have keys and haven't run out of them yet. As soon as their keys run out, those games will be delisted too. We already know Microsoft stopped issuing new GFWL keys, thanks to Rockstar. It's why GTA IV had to temporarily be delisted, until they could remove GFWL.

"With Microsoft no longer supporting Games For Windows Live, it is no longer possible to generate the additional keys needed to continue selling the current version of the game."
