Fortunately you can speed up the respawn animation, after you die just press F9.
When you want to respawn even faster just when you hit the checkpoint press F5, and the respawn time will be as fast as you press F8.
The animations have been like this since release on the PS4 so I find it if unlikely that they are going to change such thing now.
Still a great remake, but yeah the animations don't look as nice, and abe doesn't feel as 'heavy' if you know what I mean
One thing I did turn on straight away, was to use a button to run, it was so weird the way it was
They actually used to be slower.
The reason Abe's movements look so weird/unnatural is because the animations were originally created at a lower framerate, then they arbitrarily decided to speed them up without reanimating them.
They're the exact same animations as the video above, just in fast forward.
This is pretty much the one thing that's putting me off the game. I don't mind so much the rest of the changes, but those jerky awkward sped-up animations really bug me.
