Nav Log FSX Crash
Hi Guys,

When setting up a flightplan in the Flight Planner window of FSX Steam, I click the Navlog button to review my route but rather annoyingly, FSX crashes and spits out a message "windows [10] is looking for a solution" or something along those lines.
I might add, when clicking "navlog" while in the cockpit, nothing appears in the window as if no flight plan existed but it does quite happily display in the flightplan within the GPS.

Can anyone here shine some light on the matter? I dont tinker around with FSX folders (only for add ons) so I have no idea this issue came about.

Thank you for reading,
regards

Alastair

FSX requires Internet Explorer to run and display the Nav Log.
Do you have IE installed on your computer?

I'm having the same problem with navlog. When I try to go to navlog to look up frequencies, etc. it has been crashing to desktop. Any solutions please??

Some have said that it has to do with the zoom level and text size. For now, I'm just avoiding the navlog to obtain freq., but that shouldn't be necessary.

I'm using Windows 10 with Edge browser available.

Having the issue. Believe it is location orientated. Crashes at Denver I'Nat.

It's been a long time, but I seem to remember deleting my fsx.cfg file and having it configure a new one upon next startup. That may be how I fixed it before, but no guarantees. I don't think it will hurt anything, however.

This is Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 required to run FSX/Acceleration successfully. You have an old version. You need version 6195 instead of 4940. Go to the following link to get the 2005 w/sp1 - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2019667 .

Didn't solve it for me, so maybe it is more likely looking for old internet explorer. Or a text bug. Just in case anyone in the future wonders.
