Hi everyone, just a short post to let anyone know that is reading this, the game is still under active development. I recently took a couple of months off after having my first child, so apologies that I've been slow responding to discussions.

I'll post more about the updates I'm working on when I've got more to show, which should hopefully be soon.

Feedback

Things I liked: * The gameplay is very fun and frantic. I got better as I went. I like that I can see the opponent's ammo, heat, shield, and secondary gauges. Also, it's good that the announcer's dialogue changes depending on who's in the lead and other things. It feels very reactive to how you are doing. * I like that you can still fight without fuel. I went into match day with my best bot really low on fuel, so by halftime it was on empty. But I clutched it out with some good shield timing, good defense...

Borubots demo out now!

Hey all,

Thanks for checking out Borubots so far, just a quick post to let you know that a playable free demo of Borubots is out now!

I wanted players to have a pretty full experience of the game, so the demo contains a short but full season, made up of 4 Borubot teams who compete to win the league title over 6 league matches.

There's currently 33 bots to catch, buy or upgrade, each with different weapon types, and 4 towns to explore, so get out there and see what you can find!

If you've got any feedback at all feel free to join me on the discussions board. There's still more I'll be adding to the game, and I'll very likely be updating the demo as I go, so if there's any changes you'd like to see feel free to let me know!

Reporting a game freeze

Hello, the game became unresponsive when talking to an NPC. It was the one that says "You know what they say." When that box appeared, the game no longer responded to inputs, including ESC.

the creatures of the game

The creatures in the game should be more individual like the medabots (anime) but the robots are not very cool. Buying and selling parts will make a difference~in the end. Not to mention the melee combat that I didn't see in the video, like swords and punches....

Demo feedback.

Hi there! As promised, dropping some feedback. I'm writing down my thoughts as they come to me while playing. First impression: visually, leaning a little too hard on the stripe effect. I know it's popular and generally gives things a very retro vibe, but as it's applied here, it makes your game look very blurry and hard on the eyes (I am photosensitive, so there is definitely an opportunity for more accessibility here). The dialogue needs some proofreading. A lot of punctuation is missing. Sometime...
