"The Memory could not be read" error - Help!
This started happening a few weeks ago and no solution I have found seems to fix it.
Basically, the game will run perfectly fine for a while and then suddenly, in no consistent circumstances, deliver an error like this: imgur.com/PAoSVtv

I have tried uninstalling the game entirely, deleting the content stored in LocalAppData, and verifying the integrity of the game files. Nothing stops this from happening. Sometimes I can play for an hour with nothing happening, and sometimes it will crash after 15 minutes. My drivers are up-to-date. No other game has this issue. Somebody, please help.

I would do the following in your case
-check any new programs or updates you may have received/ installed recently
-check the temperatures + disable power safe mode
-clean install older stable GPU driver versions (2-3 versions older) with the help of DDU
-reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ package 32+64Bit from SFV's installation folder

Make sure that there are no 3rd party programs or services running in background, which can interfere (reboot Windows in clean boot mode for testing purposes)

A few players fixed such strange errors by installing the Unreal Engine 4 from Epic Games website.

Where exactly can I find this?

Press the button combination: Win + R
Paste:
%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Steam\steamapps\common\StreetFighterV\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2013
Confirm with: ENTER

Alternatively navigate to your SFV installation folder manually, which is by default:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\StreetFighterV\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2013

More details and possible fixes can be found here (crash on start section 1):

OK, update. I've tried:

-Reinstalling Visual C++
-Reinstalling DirectX
-Disabling as many background programs as possible
-Running the app with Admin priveleges
-Installing UE4
-Verifying the integrity of the game files
-Completely re-installing the game

Nothing works. I guess the next step is to try installing older drivers, but this issue started happening a while ago so I'm not even sure when the most recent working version would be... guess I'll have to play around with it.

Maybe there are some compatibility settings I should try? I doubt it would help, since I've been running the game on Windows 10 since forever...

I fresh installed my drivers using DDU. Played for about an hour until it crashed again. I'm completely out of ideas. No other game has this problem, so I really don't think it's an issue with my computer. What on earth can I do?
Jet Jul 2, 2018 @ 10:59pm
I installed the game onto my main drive (SDD) instead of my second drive (HDD) in hopes that might accomplish something. It did not. I also tried deleting all of the files from LocalAppData again but still no dice.

Does anyone have ANY ideas? I'll try literally anything at this point.

I tried the game in both Windows 7 and Windows 8 compatibility modes. Still crashes randomly. I've tried increasing the size of my paging files. Nope. Added exceptions in my anti-virus. Still crashes. Tried booting the game with a different version of DX (10, specifically). UI elements don't load, making the game unplayable. Did sfc /scannow from the command prompt. Still crashes after that.

I feel like there's nothing I haven't tried at this point, beyond reinstalling Windows entirely, which I really don't want to do. I found some forum threads from other games about a similiar issue, and re-installing the OS didn't work for those people either. In fact, I couldn't find a working solution for ANY game that has this issue. What IS this bug??

I can't play ranked or enter tournaments as long as this issue persists because there's a good chance I will get randomly booted from any given match.

So you've basically also tried most of the stuff, here
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1274-uohk-5653&l=english

Except repairing/ reinstalling your operating system and checking your HDD + RAM for errors.

I would simply set the page file size to x2.5 - 3x fixed amount of your current RAM size, if you want to change it, but it's not recommended on SSDs.

What are your complete system specifications?

Can you please post your DirectX diagnose file. Press Win+R, type dxdiag
Save the results as DXdiag.txt + upload them to a file hoster.

To check your Windows without a re-install
with the Windows command-line:
SFC /scannow

+ run a RAM test (http://www.memtest.org/ for example)
And a HDD/SSD sector test with tools from your manufacturer (WD

Sure. Thanks a bunch for trying to help, by the way.

System Specifications:
OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home
Version: 1803
Build: 17134.137
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4670k CPU @ 3.40GHz, 3401 Mhz, 4 Cores, 4 Logical Processors
Motherboard: ASUS Z87-K
RAM: 8 GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

Here's my DxDiag file. If there's any sensitive info in there, please tell me so I can edit it.

I ran the Windows Memory Diagonistics tool and found no errors. I also did sfc /scannow yesterday.

Thanks for posting your DirectX diagnose, it's totally safe to share it, most of the data is hardware + drivers related and if there are obvious issues, also some software errors.

Your PC specs are totally fine, not much free disk space on your C drive (17 GB) for a dynamic page file nowadays - or bigger TEMP folder usage installations, but as long as you don't use it all up, it's often ok.

I've found these entries, which are not very common and may be worth to look into, if these are necessary for you, or can be temporarily unplugged (especially external USB devises):

Devices - necessary ??:
Speakers (Steam Streaming Speakers)
Speakers (Steam Streaming Microphone)

vJoy Device
Probably a gamepad input wrapper, could cause interferences on some software configurations.

Elgato Game Capture HD
Usually an external USB recording device.

Found software related errors:

1. B E X - Problem signature:
DipAwayMode.exe
KERNELBASE.dll
Usually part of the Asus AI (hardware fans+overclocking) suite

2. B E X 64 - Problem signature:
StreetFighterV.exe
1.12.0.0

B E X 64 errors in SFV are usually related to overlay software (like screen recording/chat/ benchmark/Desktop enhancing) and some security/ antivirus software modules, closing/disabling it, or whitelisting can help.

I disabled the vJoy Device driver and -- I should have done this earlier -- disabled the Steam Overlay.

I played for a long time today and it hasn't crashed yet. I'm not sure which of those two things fixed it, but this is a huge relief.

Thank you so much!!
