These are such strong Anti-Airs that when ever the opponent is jumping in on Nash, they will fail 100% of the time.
People who use jump kicks and sweeps?
How is that considered "spamming"?
People using jump kicks to start a combo have been there since vanilla SF2, so how is this "spamming"?
There's obvious tactics to counter sweeps and jump kicks and literally every character has anti-airs and simple low block to counter sweeps.
Any attack of any kind is called "spam" if you beat them with it.
Yeah it's an odd way to describe one of the fundementals of fighting games as "spamming", it's like if you were to describe any bread and butter combo as "spamming".
The term "spamming" is usually applied to someone repeatedly using fireballs or any special attacks, but I've never heard it being used to describe jump kicks and sweeps (unless the player was just doing sweeps for the duration of the match with no variation).
It's also a strange complaint considering there's Casual Matches available, so you'd think the OP would just spend a few hours in Casual Matches playing against these "spammers" as he calls them, in order for him to learn a technique to overcome the problem before heading into Ranked Matches.
I don't understand why there's a large section of the current FG player base that just want's to win and they don't care about learning and adapting to different play styles (the only way to learn is by losing and practicing), like when you see players Rage Quitting Casual Matches, it just seems so pointless and petty.
You said it. I'm surprised the OP even made it as far as bronze without knowing how to deal with something as basic as a sweep.
Just block high against the jump-in, then block low against the sweep, and sweep back.
Yeah block high, block low should be just as second nature as any basic offensive move for any FG player, as it's the fundementals, not knowing that is like not understanding that you should look down the sights of your gun in a FPS and take cover when reloading.
There's plenty of legit issues to complain about with SFV online (Rage Quitters and suspicious Lag Issues being way too frequent and without any real consequence or punishment) but people using jump kicks and sweeps is not something to complain about.
It seems like the OP just needs to concentrate on getting better at the game and not concentrate on the ranking system (as there's so much cheating online that the ranking system doesn't really mean anything until the ranks are purged of cheaters).
These kids don't know what they're talking about LOL
A lot of these guys are the super casual dudes that normally play COD or some other mindless game where they can grind out wins on the backs of their teammates.
I was once in your position(weeks ago). Now I love encounters with those kind of players, because I can easily defeat them.
It's not that hard to counter. All you have to do is anti-air (sure you won't be able to do them all if you don't expect but if they are spamming you should be able to predict what they're doing).
In fact if all they do is jump in then sweep (crouching HP) then just standing block and crouching block then sweep them back.
that was fun!
