On the other hand. In a fighting game you only need characters that you will play as. I bought SP1-2 myself and i wish there was a limited pre-purchase test of DLC characters in fighting games. Bought characters that i never wanted.
If you don`t need costumes and additional stages then you can ignore CE upgrade. Second V-skill, balance changes and other stuff will be available for all SFV players for free. Also the price of CE upgrade is not very fair considering the fact that some players have only one SP or none and others have two or more. If you don`t have any SP or have only one then it is a good deal. If you have 3 or 4 passes then think about it twice before you will spend money on CE upgrade.
This is simply not true. Half of competitive play is learning match ups. You need to have the enemy character unlocked so you can lab stuff against them in training mode.
It's ridiculous, If you don't know your enemy, how do you play against them ?
Or you're simply joking
Not really. Since you're more than likely just going to be playing with friends, you can talk about each others weaknesses.
Anyways, these awful opinions on not needing characters to practice things like punishes or oki sure are funny.
