Kursk German Campaign Final Mission

So I've been mostly playing the missions to get achievements as of lately, but the Final Kursk mission for the German Campaign has one achievement that seems impossible as is unless the idea is that the AI also gets to carryover remaining units from the campaign. "Kill 40 Tracked Units" is what I am referring to. The mission itself only has about 26 enemy tanks at most by default, so I am wondering if this means that any Russian units that were not taken out in previous missions would appear in later missions to fight. I'd like to know if this is the case or not, because right now I'm inclined to believe it was a typo or oversight whenever it was released.

Tracked units can include halftracks etc IIRC. Also, I don't recall if the mission spawns additional units later in the play.

Well, that's the thing. I never saw any halftracks on the last mission besides my own. Soviets have at least 7 or 8 TDs, a few KV-1s, a Valentine, and the rest T-34s. As I mentioned before, I could only count 26 tracked units during the mission, and none were halftracks, so I'm assuming that either AI units also carry over to the next mission, or it was an oversight during development. I'd assume that the mission would spawn reinforcements for the enemy later in the mission, but I bided my time until the final turn and no enemy reinforcements came in.

Hmmm. It's certainly odd. You can tweak the value in the CAMPAIGNS/KURSK-GERMAN/SCENARIOS/06_AUTOACH.BSF file, the value is near the top on line 15. I think you are correct it is a typo, or potentially wasn't updated after a map change.

Another possible bug: On the Mission "Fester Platz" (One of the Bagration missions), two of the four achievements don't seem to work. The first of them being "capture all VPs", and the second being "lose no more than 15 units". I've completed the mission each time having met these conditions and yet I do not get the achievement. Basically, a repeat of one of the French Campaigns from the first game (The one that got so much attention that the devs had to announce a hotfix for that said mission).

I take it you have been busy with other issues outside of achievement bugs? I'm not sure if you've got any answer to the problem or if you've been working on it since February. I'm somewhat left bewildered right now at the fact I'm still unable to obtain these two achievements for "Fester Platz".

You are correct that there are nowhere near 40 tanks in that mission. I followed Pip's advise and tweaked the value to 24.

I had no issues on Fester Platz with achievements.

Still can't get an achievement on The Trap in the 3rd Battle of Kharkov campaign though.

I've been able to get the Kharkov achievemnts, so I think there's different bugs going on for each copy...
