Webget Request Failed
My launcher keeps giving me the webget request failed error. I've disabled my firewall, did ipconfig /flushdns, ran in administrator, and it's still doing this ♥♥♥♥

your wifi isnt strong enough
I had to retry a few times.
don't worry nothing you do will fix a longtime error that zenimax never admits is there. Eventually you will get lucky and it will work, may want to try off peak hours as it seem to work better than
I recently purchased this game. I'm in the process of patching now and getting this same issue. One thing I noticed though if you look in the launcher folder there is a log that contains which file is failing to download. From the looks of it all it does to fetch patch files is do an http get with support for resume (sorta). So in your actual game folder you should see a patch data folder. You should see a file with the same name as the file that's failing except it has a .patial on the end to indicate it isn't complete. I've been trying since saturday to download this time the proper way so what I'm doing now is I put that url in chrome and I'm downloading the .z01 file directly. My plan is to down it place it in the patch data folder and restart the launcher. It should see that it is already downloaded and apply it. I'll post back if this ends up working. PS I realize this is an old post by now but I haven't seen anyone else post anything that actually works.

That didn't work. Even a download manager hangs at 99%. The downloaded file reports the same block failures as the one downloaded through the launcher so it still has to re-download. I get stuck at 382.52 remaining with either method. It will start all over and download up to that point again and stop. I opened a ticket because I've been trying for a week and still can't patch/play this game.
