How to Report a Bug
The fastest way to report a bug is to type “/bug” in the chat window while in-game. Make sure to select the proper category and subcategory, and give as much detail as possible about the issue. Check the "Include Screenshot?" box to include a screenshot of the issue. Please be sure to press the "Print Screen" key on the keyboard before typing "/bug" to make sure the correct screenshot is included in the bug report.

Once all the fields are filled out properly, click "Submit."

There are several ways to report a player, depending on whether you see their character, their name in chat, or get an in-game mail from them.

How to submit Game Feedback
Player feedback is very important to us!

To give feedback about the game, type "/feedback" in the Chat Box, or hit the F1 key and click on the quill and parchment icon. Players should be sure to include as much detail as possible in the description. When finished writing the feedback, players should then click "Submit Feedback" to send it.

How do I repair my game?
Our official ESO launcher patches the game to its latest version using our latest files. The Verify feature in Steam checks against the original download files and not any patched files after installation. Please do not use the Steam Verify option for your ESO installation.

Instead of using the Verify feature in Steam, please use the ESO launcher's repair function if game files need to be checked after installation. Instructions on how to repair your game via our launcher are below:
  • Start The Elder Scrolls Online launcher by double clicking on the icon on your desktop.
  • Wait for the launcher to finish starting.
  • If multiple ESO clients are installed and available through the launcher, make sure to have the correct version highlighted by clicking on it once.
  • In the middle of the launcher there will be an entry for Game Options next to an icon of a small cog wheel.
  • Open the Game Options drop down menu and click on the option for Repair.
  • Allow the launcher to examine all the files for the game. This may take some time.
  • If any files are found to have problems, the launcher will re-download those files.
