Yea I have it installed on my deck.
It runs…. I wouldn’t say it’s great on the deck but once you get past a little bit of a work around it runs on the deck.
Ok thanks

Just make sure to close the launcher after you start the game, to get rid of the stutter.
How do I do that?
Press the STEAM button opening the menu, at the bottom of the options for the game you can see both windows listed "Elder Scrolls Online" and "Zenimax Online Studios Launcher", go to launcher on the list and press X to close it.

Thank you so much. I haven't played this game since it the base game first came out
Ok it's not letting me use the controller part of my steam deck. I can only tap the screen to do anything. It's like it's not acknowledging any of my joysticks or my buttons
You have to use the touch screen on the launcher and selecting your character. Once you're loaded into the world the controller buttons should work.

Edit:
If you have to create a character first, you can hold down either the STEAM or "..." buttons to use the trackpads and triggers as a mouse, and STEAM or "..." + X to open the keyboard to name your character.

In Settings -> Gameplay you can turn on not only the support of the gamepad, but also the character selection mode with the gamepad and even the chat - there are many additional settings.
In my case, I never use the emulation of the mouse and touchscreen at all - the entire interface is adapted to gamepads (yes, it changes very much).
