Is ESO worth getting back into?
I had taken months to a full year off from ESO.

How many of you feel ESO is doing better or worse? I honestly have so much left I want to do in ESO but I left feeling like it was too difficult finding people to do challenging PvE content and not enough people to even adventure with in difficult PvE locations as they would be mostly empty.

no. These people need to learn that scamming their players is not a good company practice. They must burn burn and fall. You must have that $50 subscription now. just buying the dlcs is useless. Seen that coming years ago... If you have no firends to play this with. Steer clear.

I left ESO for over 4 yrs having the same issue having barely made it to lvl 40. About 2 months ago I figured that i would jump back in and see what if anything had changed at all. In some areas yes its still a pain to group up and hit PVE but those areas are few and far between. With all of the new DLC content that has been added it has really been a breath of fresh air into the game. About 95 % of the time I spend maybe 3 min LFG in chat and I'm in. Now it's not all rainbows and sunshine somethings have not changed at all and some have gotten worse but for the most part it's definitely better now. Login and enjoy.

Performance now worse than it was even 1 year ago,
nothing new added that is of any consequence,
just had a year of the least amount of new content ever
just had a year of worst quality content ever
less devs than ever left working on eso.
No, not worth it, still going downhill.

They're about the same as always. If you're a casual player you'll be fine. If you're not, just do visiting and otherwise run.

Yes. A long break does some good with this game but it's always fun to come back.

ESO direction was fine with how it used to be: a more casual based MMO heavy on story development with some actual effort throw in. These days, you have minimum effort towards content and story, more grind, catering to a vocal minority playerbase and cash grabs.

ESO used to be fun, but not so much anymore. I revisit it occasionally but, sadly, ESO has reached "meh" status for me these days.

Absolutely worth getting into still. The naysayers here are just forum troll regulars who spend all their time crapping on the game.

Necrom is their most successful expansion in the last few years and came with a lot of genuinely challenging content alongside its absolutely stellar quest writing with Apocrypha.
This is nonsense. The game has a lot of issues but it's still worth playing.

Why do you play games according to what other people think? You are a human, not a lemming. You've already stated you like the game and want to play. So, play. You don't need anyone's approval.

Because there are games that used to be good that have fallen apart, and some people don't want to waste hours figuring that out if they go onto the forums and 90% of people there say it sucks.

Not the case with ESO, but for a minute there before One Tamriel it was. I really thought the game was gonna go under.

this
I would not spend a single euro or a dollar in ESO.

They took away even Crate gifting.

And Cyrodiil is so dead. Cannot even play pvp with this horrible performance. And no endgame groups. Bad peformance makes people make builds "for lag, try this". It's not normal to need to make builds like that in mmo game, when other games works just fine.

I think ESO is on life support, sadly. Not a very good look towards year 2024.

I think the original poster cares, that's why he asked. Don't be rude please. :)
