ps4 controller not working ESO

i keep trying to get my controller to work but i cant, i have it plugged in and im in gamepad mode but it still wont work. can someone help.

i have very simular issues. when plugged, it doesn't work right. the buttons are a little screwed up (btw, ps3 controllers are more screwed up), if you connect your ps4 controller via bluetooth, it should give you an almost playable controller. the left and right triggers is a little wonky, but for traveling, fishing, and other basic tasks where you don't have to fight or interact with objects much (picking locks, i still have to use my mouse clicks, but a joystick to move the pick).

download a program called input mapper. i use it to play with a ps4 controller and I have no problems. There is no setup needed once you download just plug and play.

once in game with a toon, press Esc, then control, you will see kb/m setup, also colunm for controller

No need.

Windows automatically detects ps4 controllers nativly. And steam allows you to map controllers anyway you want now. Just link the controller to your steam account.
