What causes long loading times for instances?

Every once in a while, an instanced location (e.g. delve, dungeon, ...) takes ages to load.

Is there any way to avoid such long loading times?


This is extremely upsetting - grabbing the skyshard and getting back out again takes less time than the loading!

I think this is just the steam server issues that have been around for a long time
this doesnt happen in the version of eso from bethesda store

No way to really avoid it. But if it's taking more than 1-2 minutes, just force quit the game and restart. It's faster most of the times.

Had some other people comment ingame on being unable to enter delves - seems to be a common problem today.

If you have the version NOT on steam you are lucky.

The Steam ESO takes so long to do anything.

I wish I never had it on Steam.

For the last 2 weeks I've been playing the game w/out Steam: no difference. I got the loading screen issue a LOT, since I was doing the Craglorn questline with my latest chara. A nightmare.

yea loadings screens are not client related, got many guildies playing without steam and they are in the same boat as me, playing via steam.
