Also, do those things ever get updated?
They're nice but, for the DLC areas and Elsweyr, I had to use an Android app to search for the ones I couldn't find.
They seem to glow less in the new areas, or maybe I've just been bugged or had some bad connectivity, but I had to look up one or two in most of the base game (and those were almost all in delves tucked away somewhere that you had to be right on top of them to see the thing) but in the extended areas I've been standing almost on top of one on an open overland map and not seen it.
You still miss things, even when you explore extensively, there's always at least one book somewhere in every new area that I just can't find.
I had to install the lorebook add-on for the one in the Alik'r Desert that was upstairs in that house that was part of a quest, totally missed it when I was going through the line and searched the entire region without being able to get that last book.
Of course I'm OCD about getting them all, and I'm setting up a complete library in The hall of the Lunar Champion's Moongrave Fane (so much nicer than where my library was, and the crypt shelves make better bookcases than all the ones I had lining my walls in the old house) room, so even missing one single book is very frustrating for me.
