Glad I'm not the only one. :D
Time to go from Mystery Lake all the way back to the place where I got the note that said I had to go to Mystery Lake.
I feel your pain so much...
I read this thread and since I was just past the avalanche on the same map as the maintenance yard, I quit then resumed. Guess what, the Hunting Lodge with the exclamation on it was just to the north of the maintenance yard and on the map now.
This is a bug they need to fix.
Yeah, it was not on my map either unfortunately.
They should really clarify this.
Walked all the way back because from the quest description it sounded like 'oh I got the gun, I should go ask the guy about these forest people.', but nope, it wanted me to go search a hidden area that they figured people in their right minds, would leave the safe room with a fire and bed at night with those new alien wolves standing right outside to follow a trail of weird lights into the wilderness against the advice of the trapper who said to stay to the track till you have a rifle.
Fortunately I had an auto save, so half way through my walk back again- I just reloaded since I was having a rather misable adventure with low food, water, and damaged gear from the trip to begin with.
