Wintermute Episode 5

I've checked and can't seem to see any Steam discussions about this since January/February about the release date for Episode 5 of Wintermute and understand that the dev's have said the planned release is "end of 2024", but was wondering if there has been or will likely be anything more specific released soon?

I know some people here have followed development closely for a long time, and so figured I would ask since I just now started playing Wintermute and have been enjoying it so far (Just started Episode 2!).

Please note: I am ok with waiting, i'm simply curious and so asking since we are coming towards the end of the 3rd quarter of the year.

yep, nothing new in terms of its release date.

Not much we can theorize from any statements either

Only thing we really have to go off of is that part 6 will come sometime in fall, so depending if you expect episode 5 to release before or after part 6 you can draw some conclusions from there. assuming part 6 doesn't get delayed which i think is likely.

All of this is speculation, of course

I might hold off from continuing too far into episode 2 then and then restart it in the new year. I'm working through a hefty games backlog so would be nice to complete it all in one go at some point.

Thankyou for the merge, apologies for not finding this discussion. I did a search in steam discussions for "Episode 5" and the latest it showed me was created in Jan 24. I'm guessing it only searches the topic names and not words within the discussions themselves!

My 5th episode wont unlock on wintermute

I don't know why but my 5th episode seems not to be unlocked after I beat the 4th episode, I have tried to reinstalled the game and have an autosave at the end of 4th episode I beat the game after the reinstall. Do anyone have an idea why its still blocked/locked for me?

3,5 months till release of 5th episode...

... and still not a word about it from devs since last year? Great, statistically 99% that it won't come out this year and devs know it - they just don't have guts to announce the delay of ending of already outdated 8 years old single-player campaign
