Far too few car batteries
I can't recall every single setting but on my custom I have things set to low amounts of loot but the lack of car batteries is obnoxious. Bleak inlet, Pleasant Valley, Coastal highway, Milton, Blackrock, Broken railroad, all of them checked every single car and came up with 4 batteries. The most annoying thing is that there's another 4 batteries in Blackrock but they're bugged out into the trucks and can't be retrieved. The wrecked cars, sure ok, no batteries in them, understandable, but where the hell did the rest of them go? I'm dreading the nightmare of having to cart any batteries in Crumbling Hwy and Desolation point to do Signal Void. Some kind of alternative or crafted solution would be nice. Even if it meant melting down ammo, it would be better than having to walk miles and miles and miles at .0001mph to do Signal Void.

Low baseline resources means less of everything, including car batteries. Also on custom, on low BRA, some people have found one or two batteries max. Not sure what it is about custom games but it happens for some. Also, as Signal Void was not really designed with interloper loot settings in mind, my guess is that they didn't increase the car battery spawn rates for that loot setting. Maybe that will be tweaked later.

I had the option to carry a battery back from Forsaken Airfield to Forlorn Muskeg because I scrapped all the batteries I found elsewhere for lead due to having the glitched revolver in Interloper during last December's big update.

So yeah, after carrying the battery for about 30 feet, I dropped it and decided I would never even consider it again, LOL.

Yeah see. Forbidden fruits (the revolver) leading you to temptation. I suspect you won't be the first or last. I found two of them in an older run but I resisted the temptation. 👼 The good it did though. Still got killed. :fcp_bear:

Haha right? It sure was pleasant walking in Bleak Inlet and Blackrock and literally punishing the timberwolves LOL. I'd say it was actually worth scrapping all the batteries :)

:Edit: And I'm still alive in this run, my longest so far.

I got complacent. After being spoilt by a very generous RNG regarding loot, some never seen before on Loper. Then a late and glitched instance of the Signal Void tale being introduced, with transmitters being broken after being repaired. It finished off any real interest I had in continuing the run. The death by aurora bear was a mercy killing.

Now I'm on day 1036 and still looking strong. Hmm, lets not get cocky eh!!!

I think my run is only around day 350 or so (that's my longest interloper run). But I haven't even played it anymore. I have a huge setup set for life out at Desolation Point with the beach combing. I think I'm just retiring that run and waiting for the update to start a new run. I am even considering playing something less than interloper just to get new variety with loot and firearms. I haven't played anything other than interloper since 2019 or so (other than the story mode when it came out last episode).

Iv'e been trying beech combing when in suitable areas. Got lots of stuff doing that. My current goal of 100 days per region is progressing well. The only point of awkwardness I can see coming up, is that Transfer Pass is now in the Journal. That may be tedious.

Yeah yuck. Most of my days this run are in DP now that I'm set with the beach combing. I just logged in and hit exactly 350 days. The crows reminded me that I had just killed a moose AND bear about 200m between each other. I just finished cooking the majority of both, and reset my snares on the tiny island. Next I'll go loop back and collect coal again.

Astrid has progressed from bumbling around freezing in the dark to working on her tan out on the weather deck of the Riken. ;)

I just completed Signal Void and every transmitter has a car battery nearby - either in a nearby structure or car.

So uhh, I DID get bored and lugged that battery all the way to Forlorn Muskeg lol. I made a thread about it called "Signal Void Question" hopefully one of you seasoned lads takes a look at that thread and can answer my question in it.
