Nintendo Switch Port Feedback
Bought the game on my Switch since it was on sale and i liked the idea of experiencing the quiet apocalypse wherever i go, wanted it on my switch for a while and was surprised when they started mentioning it in roadmaps, even moreso when i saw that cool trailer on the indie direct however many months ago.

But man i did not expect it to run so well! Great framerate, good draw distance, zero crashes, and still looks crazy good!

In comparison i also bought Green Hell, and while a fine game it's nowhere near TLD and especially in its elegance in porting to the Switch. Graphics are just a mess of green, the resolution is not good, framerate is iffy, and it crashed once, although only causing ~15 minutes of progress lost. Not impressive.

But TLD honestly hit it out of the park a little. I really did not expect it to be so good. My only two complaints are that for one the render distance of a couple things feels really off, for instant Rose Hip bushes only render at about 15-20 yards away from the character. Second being the game will freeze up for a second or two when it autosaves. Doesn't make much of a difference when entering a building, but it gets kind of annoying when every time i eat my bear meat i get a pause because the game saves because i got 1% parasite risk.

Regardless I've seen some games do just awful on the Switch (ARK is an utter garbage heap of a port) but this game did insanely well. I very well might move my TLD playing over to my switch on a permanent basis. Job extremely well done, money extremely well spent! Thank you!

I also recently bought it for my Switch light and I wholeheartedly agree! Feels nice to sit back and relax while playing.

As for my complaint, I really wish the gyro aim had its own sensitivity slider. It may just me, but it feels way too sensitive...

Also I think the quick stats and pausing are both binded to the + button

Yeah the gyro aiming just didn't really work for me so i just turned it off.

I've had no problems with quick stats, it's bound to - for me.

Too bad the game is not on GeforceNow.. would make an additional portable version for PC gamers unnecessary.
