Mending: Chance of success - Level 2
In journal, mending skill say I get 65% chance of successful repair.

But in actions window of a cloth, in repair I get 85% in chance of success.

Is it normal to get 2 different chance to same level ?

I’m pretty sure the journal mending chance of success is the base chance, and your lower picture is showing the base chance plus the bonus for whatever you’re using to mend (sewing kit or tackle).

^This, like starting a fire.

With a fire you have a base chance, then Starter/Tinder/Kindling are taken into account to give your final % chance of success.

With mending, base chance then mending tool.

Thank you TheNobleYeoman and Cougarific for yours answers.
So, you mean sewing kit or fishing tackle + repair materials (cloth, leather, rabbit pelt etc...) give each time +20% of chance?
If it's all the time the same benefit, what is ithe point to have two different information? It's confused me and to be honest, I was under the impression that It was more a display error and only the journal chance (65%) have to take effect, I miss so many times ... (widely more than 15% of time)

I'm confused too. For making fire it all makes sense. But here: you need the mending tool to mend at all. So your success chance is always boosted with 20 % ?
