Ravine Falls - how to get across it?
There's a trestle (?) in ravine falls and basically it's not a complete railroad, or rather, it was but after months or years of rot, it's gone now.

How am I supposed to get across it? Every time I try, I end up falling and dying. Am I just supposed to go slow and be super duper careful?

You can get across the gap by walking literally on the rails and switching sides in the middle. It's not as difficult as sometimes claimed

No you're supposed to run full speed across a crumbling train trestle - while blindfolded - and carrying too much stuff.

What could possibly go wrong?

We're just perplexed how is it possible to "everytime I try, I just fall down"

I mean, there's ONE spot where the tracks are partially missing, so one would think that after falling ONCE, you realize you cannot step into the empty space, and so on your second try, you should recognize the spot where you're supposed to switch sides.

That's why the joke answers...

I am perplexed how it's even possible to miss where you're supposed to go. I mean it just required you to hold the W key and go in a straight line on the only part sticking out. How hard could it be? It seemed pretty darn straightforward to me from the first time I saw it. I literally can't think of a single thing you could possibly do to get killed by it aside from walking right off the edge on purpose.

As Steve S said walk on the rail then change over to the other and keep on going, I have been across-don´t know how many times and have never fallen

Pick a good weather day to cross. Crouch go carefully along the rail. When you get to the broken bit turn make sure you are on the wood and walk to other rail. Walk along rail and keep on when you get to the snow to make sure you are on solid ground. Pay no attention to the creaking. I reach over and press the off button on my speaker. Need steady hands not nervous ones. Brilliant job devs! :steamhappy:

This "tightrope walking" thing is in practically every first person game ever... You just have to center the track on your screen as you approach, walk until you are in line with the corner, turn, and repeat. The hard part is judging if you're at the point to turn yet (tip - look down at about a 45 degree angle so you can see where you're going but also have a good idea of where your feet are).

It feels precarious but I've made the crossing many, many times without falling. if you feel better you can look down toward your feet and keep the track in the middle of the screen.
