Trapped (need help) Coastal Highway Mine Shaft?

I found what I think is a new mine shaft in Coastal Highway. The mine has an elevator that activates during a geomag storm. When the lights went out the elevator stopped working. I can't seem to find a way out... Do any of you know if there is an outlet that I'm not seeing, or am I going to starve to death down here?

No other way out than the elevator, during another Aurora, that I have found.

Hope you took food, water and firewood in with you.

Sleep in short shifts, so you don't miss the next Aurora, and your way back down in the elevator.

Coastal Highway, close to the logging mill on the center of the titular coastal highway. Go to the road near the logging mill, move east along it, keep an eye on the nearby land and you'll find the entrance quickly

This shaft is used by the main character in story mode to get from pleasant valley to coastal highway

I started a fresh game just to explore it, gave up in sheer boredom after a full week of one hour wait/rest every single night. Base Pilgrim play through.

If all else fails you can force an aurora to occur on any given night. Save a few hours before nightfall, then pass time for the full 12 hours, cancelling if no aurora occurs so that the game doesn't save again. If there was no aurora, reload the game. Repeat the process until you get an aurora. Might take 10-20 tries.

I found a revolver, a rifle and 2 jerry cans of fuel. I'm now wondering if the storm wil ever come before I run out of food ^_^

Currently - There's nothing that spawns down there that doesn't spawn elsewhere (no unique items like the crampons)

A player would have to be really deep into a survival game to have run out of stuff and think it would be worth it.

I go down there just to cross it off my 'list' when clearing all locations in the game world.
