CQC FTW archivement did not count. why?

Hey everyone.

I've just finished the game with Chis and used only the knife to kill enemies. No foot stomp or other objects for defense. And now I'm wondering why this achivement didn't get unlocked? is it bugged?

No, you obviously did something you shoudn't have.

Did you use ANY self defense items? Did you use fire to burn their bodies?

does use of the lighter void this achievement? lighting the candlesticks or fireplace to get that map?

I'm not sure. I got the archivement with burning two zombies at once today. I thought I've quit the game after the archivement and reloaded a save game shortly before that happened. maybe I didn't? Or did I need to start a new game after that archivement?

Better make sure and is quite short to do this playthrough on easy-normal difficult using Jill.

Burning bodies voids the achievement, yes, because you are doing damage with something other than the knife.
With Chris, the usual issue can be accidentally using the flamethrower to get past the spider den and burning one of the spiders crawling around.

I got the archivement with a Chris-Run on easy difficulty. To be sure I didn't pick up the jelly can for kerosine. I also didn't pick up any self defense items or the other weapons except to the flame thrower.

Besides to the bosses I killed just three common enemies: The dog with the collar, one zombie only with knife in the laboratory and one chimaera to have a save way for the nitro can.

It has no bad side effect for the archivement. You need to lit the candles to get the sheets of music. The map for the second floor is optional. You don't need it if you know the ways so you can easily skip it.

Why is the Samurai Edge such a ♥♥♥♥ weapon? I know from the original game that a magnum gun beheads a zombie. The Samurai edge is a magnum and you need 10 shot for a zombie on normal mode?

What? The Samurai Edge is not a Magnum, it's basically a special model of the Beretta M92F Barry ordered from Kendo's Gun shop.
