Review of 0.941.0 update
So I downloaded the 0.941.0 update via open beta and after trying it out on editor, I'll say what's new, how it can be better, and my overall opinion on it. Note that I have the ultimate edition so the interface might look different
1. enviroment
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1150495491
So now there is a winter themed enviroment
2. new interface
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1150495513
I personally like this new interface. There is also a less restrictve camera.
3. US OCP camo
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1150495569
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1150495545
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1150495625
I like the new OCP camo for US soldiers, Rangers, and Seals. However some weapons do cut through the camo. However, Marines did not get any skin change and look like they have less quality and detail compared to the new skins. Another thing to note is the US flag on soldiers is backwards.
4. Weapons
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1150495646
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1150495675
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1150495747
So we all know the "Rambo" machine gun style, well that's gone. Also for the grenade launcher, you can have a proper first person view. All sights are more realistic and proper, no crosshairs. The direct control does also seem a lot smoother. Weapon skins have also changed. Another thing to note that guns do have a little recoil and kick back.

5. unit selection
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1150495977
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1150496031
Now when you click on a unit, the menu looks different. This also applies to aircraft, tanks, and cars. Also to note is a morale bar. Morale has always been in the game and MOW series but now there is a visual bar. So if a unit sees allies get shot and killed, also if a unit is outnumbered morale goes down and the unit is more likely to retreat and get suppressed. If a unit sees enemies get shot and killed or if allies outnumber enemies, the unit is less likely to retreat and get suppressed so morale goes up.
6. t1 and 2 GRM skins
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1150496007
The t1, t1b, and t2 GRM skins look different.
7. pause menu
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1150496054
In editor there is a new button, start simulation. It's the same as the start button.
8. More frames per second
Before the update, we all pretty much got like 30fps. Now you'll get more frames and faster performance.
9. Improved AI
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1151664279
The AI is more responsive and better. In the picture, I was running towards the wall to place a C-4 and I was getting shot at. Also pathfinding is much better than before. I greatly appreciate this because the AI was not very smart in previous versions.
10. Remodeled buildings
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1151663951
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1151663775
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1151663614
These are some of the remodeled buildings. I really like these building because you get a more immersive modern warfare game.
11. bullet drop and weapon sway
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1151664214
In the picture, I was sniping these GRM troops and noticed that there was some bullet drop and the sniper rifle was swaying. Being a person into mil. simulators, I greatly liked this.
12. Enemy soldiers being marked by a red outline.
If you aim at a enemy long enough, you'll see a red outline come around the soldier, This is new but does give an advantage to snipers and people who use direct control. The enemy can do nothing wrong yet watch his soldiers be sniped because a person is controlling a soldier, litteraly just pointing at a direction and waiting to see a red outlone appear.
13. New editor loading screen
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1151752890 This is the new loading screen on the editor. Now with tips! This is nice but I do wish that it didn't cover up the middle of the loading screen.
Things that I think should also be placed in the new update over time:
Voices for GRM soldiers and new voices for US soldiers.
More realistic weapon and vehicle sounds
Have the ability to have soldiers rappel from helicopters
Frst person view for the MI-17 and UH-60. It would be awesome if we could be able to have a first person view of the gunners!
Address the issue of weapons going through the skins.
This bugged me a lot. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1151664656 I was hoping that you would see an arm on the Humvee gun, but I do hope this is adressed in the future.
This was another thing that bugged me quite a lot. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1151664716 When you shoot at a pilot in a helicopter and the window is broke, that game still acts like the helicopter is being shot instead of the pilot.
The MP5 still has a crosshair when aiming http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1152444756
Overrall, the new update is very nice. With new skins, features, and lag free time. This is a much needed update. I'm certain that the playerbase will go up.

They're also some more updated weapon models: FN Scar, UMP, M240, RPK...

I think they're excellent, keep them coming! :cta_emo7:

0.941 ...so that's still not the "release" patch? i was hoping they'd finally get it out of the door

I'll add some more things that I notice

DaCommanda02, nice review so far. I suggest you to jump into the actual game instead of the editor. You'll notice more changes there.

As for said changes, besides the ones that have already been mentioned, I have noticed those:

New scopes/sights for some weapons. Some of those even seem like they are 3D. I'm not exactly sure though. At least there are nice new reflections when looking around.

Bolts of some guns now kick back when firing.

In village, you can notice some replaced building models (@devs; those new models look nice but why replace the older ones instead of adding the new ones as new options?).

AI has been improved, specifically vehicle pathfinding. (Nearly) no more pointless turns, U-turns and J-turns. I'm not sure if there are more AI changes, maybe someone else can spot some?

New outlines when hovering over or selecting friendly units. Enemies also get marked/outlined when aiming at them for some seconds.

Guided helicopter missiles are now only guided when keeping the fire button pushed while the missile is travelling.

I'm really liking the new update so far. Of course there are some problems, it's still in beta, but I'm sure they'll get fixed.

My only gripe is that SEALs still look like those Hollywood-cliché SEALs with boonie hats. They could use some variation in my opinion.

The red silhouette looks really uncomfortable,Want to put it in the display switch can choose whether to open.

I saw a new bar on the interface : Moral ( Hey, maybe you should change the word to Morale is better, developers.) I know what the Health bar means, but what is Moral ? Please give us some instructions about new Moral.

Yes, instructions or a general clarification would be nice. I think the bar empties when soldiers have been fighting for a long time. And the fuller it is, the less your soldiers can get pinned down. At least that's what I observed. Maybe that's an illusion, though. Again, clarification would help.

Morale has always been in the MOW series and CTA. Now that CTA has a visual bar, I'll explain what is the morale bar. If a unit sees allies getting shot and killed, the morale bar goes down, making the unit be more promoted to retreat or get suppressed more easily. If a unit sees enemies get shot and killed, the morale bar goes up and the unit is less prompred to retreat or get suppressed.
I'll add it to the post later on today
