Stuck in chapter 1, Labyrinth of Death rail yard area.

My friend gifted me this game, and I've been enjoying it, but I'm stuck in the Labyrinth of Death. I've exited the tunnels into the rail yard area, killed all 6 snipers and both lots of zombies that ambush you from behind locked doors, but the glowing symbol leading into the building that marks the next checkpoint remains in place. I've tried restarting several times, but it never goes away and I can't progress further. Is this a bug, a switch or something i've missed, or is the game considering me a pirate and not letting me continue because it was a gifted game not a first person purchase on my end?

you cannot gift this game to anyone...you dont have the symbol showing you have the game I think you have a pirated copy .Something definately is not right...and the game doesnt even show on your profile...

How can you play this game if you don't have the game? There is only one way and that is a pirated copy u are using.

Exactly i have just checked, purchase as a gift is greyed out so you can not gift this game to anyone. So you are playing a pirated copy and want people on the board to help you with your pirated copy. E-mail Rebellion and ask them and tell them what site you got your game from and they will be more then happy to help you out.

Nothing shows on my profile because I haven't set one up. I don't care about it, I'm too old for that nonsense. As for how I got the game, my friend bought it and I can run it from my steam page. If that's not gifting, I don't know what it is. I really not concerned about the semantics of it.

That is impossible cause if he gifted you the game you would have a mouse icon by your name.If you know anything about steam and then you would know that.End of story. Quit making excuses.

If you did not set your profile up then you would not have your name and your country on it.
Also it would say in big bold letters this user has not set up their profile. If you know this person encourage then to set up their profile.
So you ain't got to lie to kick it.
So i know for a fact you don't own the game it was not gifted to you cause you can't gift the game to anyone as the devs have not made the game giftable yet. You don't have the mouse icon by your name like all game owners do. Even if your profile was not set up it will still show the mouse icon by your name. So we all know you and maybe your friend pirated the game. Plus you don't got any friends on steam to gift you the game. You can only gift games to people on your friends list and you have no friends so your point there is now in void.

Still arguming semantics with me. Sigh. No, I know very little about steam. Very little about pc gaming at all. I'm a middle aged man with a job and a family, not a lifeless nerd who lives in his parents basement. Quite frankly, I don't think pc gaming is for me. Games don't work properly and people behave like ♥♥♥♥♥ when you try to get help. I'm just going to stick to using my son's xbox. Thanks for the help!

Dude I'm 36 married and got 4 kids. So don't you dare come at me like I'm a kid. I know your a liar and you have proved it over and over. I work 12 hr shifts everyday every 6 months i get one day off.
I go by facts and you have shown no facts you own the game.


We only help people who own the game you don't own it but stole it so you don't get help with a pirated game.

Facts you don't own the game:
How do we know this?
1 You don't have the mouse icon by your name.
2 The game is not listed on your profile the only game on your profile is fallout new vegas.
3 If your friend did buy you the game then the said mouse icon would be by your name and it will be listed on your profile as you having the game. It does not so that will lead any one with more then a 80 I.Q to believe you do not own the game and that you pirated it off a site.

Family sharing and getting gifted the game are 2 different things. I know if family sharing was enabled on their computer it wouldnt show the mouse. But if they said someone gifted them the game that means they would have the game on their profile plus a mouse by their name.

2 things.
1. The game is giftable in many regions. I bought it for a friend actually
2. Its a common bug. go to the doorway, look left across the map, there is a stuck sniper zombie who didnt jump at the start of the level. he wont shoot you. kill him, and the door will open. Hope this helps, stick with pc gaming. It's worth it. Not everyone is a 36yr old overly fertile ♥♥♥♥. :-)

Eh, eliteist pc witch hunt and know all reeking of entitlement, when people don't know much. You can in fact gift this game or family share it. The person just asked a simple question referring to a bug, and useless answers ensue.

I purchased this game and am having the exact same trouble, stuck in exactly the same spot. It was very amusing to see all the know-nothings give that guy such a hard time. Particularly amusing was the guy espousing how much he works! Yes. Very relevant and logical.
